It's Liverpool's title to win this year unless they stuff up and lose at least 3 games.

Then we look at Spurs.

3 points behind the goons, and 4 points off second place.
First in goals scored and third in goals conceded.
Sitting relatively well in the EL.
Still in the Carabao Cup.
FA cup still to come.

And you bunch of whingers and whiners on here are still berating the manager and players.
I'm convinced it's an inbred national trait.

Why don't you actually ever barrack for your club?
I hear what your saying Auscock but seeing how we are going about things this season on the pitch you would have to agree, or not, our style of football looks like we go out on to the pitch and our main tactic is to have our fingers crossed!!

I can see/hear the pre-match talk just before kick-off....
Ange "Right lads we're gonna go at this side hell for leather, all of us on the attack make sure we are all in their half, got it?"
"Now lets see those hands, Middle finger over your index finger, not you Vic, for fuck sake mate, how you gonna catch the ball from a corner? Ah! You don't do you, ok middle finger over your index.......
:vicarioconfused:

What nobody is seemingly able to understand is this form isn't intended to be it.. the pinnacle. We are not even half way into this yet.

The point of what he is trying to do is make us play football good enough (and exciting enough) that NO MATTER what teams do, low block, triple bus, or come out to play we will annihilate them. The football that he strives to play will be entertaining AND fucking successful. Memorable....

He didn't get the job because his teams played with inconsistency. He wants to be remembered when we win stuff for the amazing style of football. For example who the fuck remembers Leicester for that? I recall Huth and Morgan committing unpunished gbh every match. I recall Vardy buying penalties on demand. I remember managers and oppo players saying how lovely it would be for Leicester to win, before rolling over. I dont recall their 'amazing football' though. And look what happened afterwards with no inhalers.. yeah they fell right off didn't they. Football was fuck all to do with why they won, a most tainted trophy if ever there was one.

All of his clubs he radically changed their style to a brilliant form of football that was effective, successful and very entertaining. It's what he is trying to do here. Patience is required, not constant bashing and toys out the pram. Give him a chance will you?? Clearly we are on the right track. What's the rush? I'm 30+ years into Tottenham, have seen tonnes of bad shit, we should be hardened to anything thrown at us by now. I want to see good entertaining football, not anti-football...the winning will come in due course.
We do have a ridiculously thread bare squad riddled with injuries and once we have a full team able to carry out the framework he is providing we will see consistency. The fatigue from overplaying due to injuries is quite bad and has hampered us so rotation isnt as great as it could be. We need RW cover, LB and a back up striker minimum. We will not see any big compromise / change on style until he thinks the players have FULLY got his ethos, mastered it. So hoping for him to 'shut up shop' is absolutely pointless and a waste of everybody's time..he has never been known for it..again the point of his football is to batter the other team, not shut up shop. If Son scores instead of skying it 1 minute after the 2nd, we likely score a 4th before HT as Roma are crushed. Then they do not have half as many shots against us because it's GAME OVER for them. It's fine margins. Sometimes for a team yet to find their peak this type of result can happen... Can't bash them too much they are the top scorers in the PL so are getting something right...it's almost as if we are on the way to implementing what Ange wants...
That’s an essay brother, A+

Not anti Ange but for the love of God when we are in front in the dying minutes you must, ABSOLUTELY MUST, be more professional in closing out the game.
We would have relieved a lot of pressure by beating Roma but we were too weak to do it. Now we go to Glasgow needing something with our away record in Europe!
Give us some peace of mind ffs.

TBH, I'm not that bothered if we let in 3, as long as we score

There are a lot of you that desperately need to disconnect from the Internet for a bit and work on not being spoiled little shits. This place goes through periods of being an echo chamber for the emotionally immature, and this moment in time is starting to reach peak levels of impotent rage.
Yeah, some fkn supporters forum indeed.
Some very thoughtful discourse, too much psycho whacky sauce after a while (entertaining for a while, but dribble on repeat )

Yeah, I know where you're coming from.
Which team turns up each week. Is this the manager's fault or the players? I don't know.
All I'll say is that I'd much prefer a 5-4 result rather than 1-0. Just so much more entertaining.

It's scary, you know, cos if they do and we fail their mates banter with them and it makes them sad.

I'm all onboard with the theory, fists pumping, but I remain unconvinced that we'll achieve it on a consistent basis with the squad depth and quality we currently possess. That's the biggest issue for me. If Ange had the best available, then, ok, maybe I can see it working.
