Understand what you are saying but, that defending the other night was criminal and so typical of the way we are.
We have been very fortunate in many games that, other teams have not punished us as they should have done, city probably should have been 2-0 before we even got close to their penalty box.
Our games are way too open and exposed, I don't want to see 5-4 what is the fucking point in that, shows both teams are soft as shit.
Ange wants to be the great entertainer then let him, it's his position on the line if it goes south.
We ourselves have been unfortunate to not punish: Newcastle, Leicester, Roma etc. Its football!
By now you know the traits of the manager. You can see when everyone does their jobs properly, we don't just win, we batter the other team. Expecting him to switch it up and be defensive isn't gonna happen, at least not until he feels the group have properly mastered what he is teaching them. It will cloud things, confuse them and weaken his vision if all of a sudden he starts to go defensive. The players would lose respect and begin to doubt him. It sows bad seeds.
The only way through this is to keep up the style, and master it. Of course it won't always be a pleasant ride, but instead of being down about things, try to enjoy it... when we stick 3s and4s past anyone it should be a glorious day... not time to think oh but they are crap / missing players / had 2 chances to score before we did / etc.
I do hope for some improvement in defense but it won't come as result of playing low block or pragmatically. It will be because the players are gelling and understanding their roles properly so its like breathing, natural. In the meantime we'll have some bumps in the road but its not reason to throw away what is underway, in my opinion.
