My post was not shitting on Emerson... my point is that in every window we don't do enough to build a squad that can compete at the highest level.

In my original post, I said we should get our guy if there’s a specific manager out there that checks all the boxes, but I don’t believe that we can find that in the middle of the campaign. Are you of the opinion that we should drop Ange now and bring in anyone? Because I sure as fuck don’t want to be watching a Mason- led bunch the rest of the season.

what is the reality to you? we shouldn't expect wins against Leicester, Fulham, Ipswich and Crystal Palace? 10th, 16th, 17th and 19th placed teams?
We were second best in 3 of those 4 games (performance wise) so in your opinion what is the reality? should we expect to lose those games? should we expect draws?
Thats exactly what we heard about the players under Ramos and AVB/Sherwood and that includes what are now seen as some pretty sacred cows like Bale, Ekotto, Dawson, Rose Walker, Vertonghen, Dembele. 2 good managers came in and improved players and we were flying under both after 16/18 months. Within the same timeframe we now just look a bit of a mess. This squad and team are nowhere near good enough to challenge for the title but they're better than the 70% 80% of dross that has been served up since March.
He should be realistic he has no ties to English football, is a project manager and we should be able to him sell him the story of creating a legacy that hasn't been done with us yet.Hence why he's not realistic.

I don’t disagree. I am not on board keeping Ange another year necessarily. I am of the belief that there isn’t anyone out there better than Ange that will come here mid season, though.

Thats fair enough and as much as i'd like a change i dont want it for the sake of it like bloody Ryan Mason for 3 months or Graham Potter because he's knocking around and cheap. I'd love to think we had owners that would do what Utd did with Amorim and just go balls out to get the best man regardless but...yeah.
This is where we disagree. The squad itself is too mediocre for top 4- the results are up and down (some matches we overperform, but some matches underperform)
you stated Spurs fans should start "living in reality" right? that we are not the Tottenham of 2017. I'm asking what in your opinion Is the reality? is the reality now that we shouldn't expect to beat the teams I've mentioned? I want to know what in your opinion is our current reality.
