Every now and then he pulls a rabbit out of the hat to buy himself time. Utd away, city away, after bad results against smaller teams. His tactics are suicidal and will in the long run we will finish 8th and the season will be wasted before people wake up to the fact Ange is out of his depth.

Suicidal tactics? Only three teams have a better defensive record. Pool, Forrest and Utd.

Forrest and Utd have 12 and 11 goals less scored than us.

Yeah I think the whole suicidal tactics/high line stuff is a cop out those days, a lazy narrative.

A vast majority of goals we've conceded have been down to individual errors and lazy defending from full backs allowing crosses in. We have rarely been caught out high when you look at how we've conceded. Newcastles second off the top of my head, can't think of much beyond that. There's been patterns with us conceding, but it's not the same issues as last season.

By the way I want each and everyone of these Aussie newbies to understand one thing. When Ange is fired .....you don't get to leave. Your soul remains here trapped in Spurs purgatory for all eternity. There's no mooching off and turning up at Panathaniakos when he gets his next job. Your in and you stay in!!

you have no idea what a huge following spurs have here in australia way before ange got the job ,do you ?

Exactly.

Add to that Vicario has underperformed (rank 13th in % of shots saved) and the vast number of good chances that we are failing to score.

Ange has turned us is to an excellent team with a system that is working; and there is no indication that we won't improve.

All teams have bad performances, and I'd only point to the Palace game this season where we were particularly poor, but in football, its quite often the case that the result doesn't reflect the performance and being the best team for 99% of the game, means that 1% causes you to drop points.

- Improve the keep
- Sign a right back who can defend crosses and make tackles
- Get Bissouma in peak form

It's why I don't think we have anywhere near the squad people want Ange to turn into world beaters. We can play football but don't have anywhere near the physicality required to go to the next level yet.

Take Solanke and Kulu out of the that front 4/5 - it becomes powder puff. Especially when Porro can't win a one one battle to save his life.

that's why I'm not sure a change of manager is the panacea we'd hope for. I might be wrong though...
But he has put together this squad. We could have got one for £18M but never went in for him. Just saying that is one player but there are plenty others out there. This is his squad and players he wanted or signed off on.

It's important not to have a narrative and just to view what is happening as best one can.

With 2 fit strikers, and that should have meant Richarlison, I think we would have scored even more goals.

We concede too easily, and yes much of is individual mistakes more than the system we adopt. That's why I would sell Romero. He is just the opposite of Van Dijk.

We lose games we should at least draw.

Thus season is the worst I can recall for two steps back and 2 steps forward. Painful.

I am just tired of us but...

Who has Ange actually signed since he's been here?

Vicario - Tick
VDV - Tick
Werner on loan twice - maybe a Tick
Johnson - Tick
Solanke - Tick

Apart from these players, the rest of the signings have been with a view to the future.

I know you joined in November 2024 and are here talking big with zero context...I'm not talking to genuine fans be they Australian or any other.

We have a lovely German bloke an Italian from Turin we have Portuguese and Amercans. These people are assets. I'm talking specifically to the petty Nationalist that follow a particular manager like they are teenage BTS fans. And are utterly unable contribute ,because by their own admission they are here because Ange and never had a day's intrest before he fluked his way into the job. Unlike them I'm fully aware of the of the Australian sub continents relationship with English football, I've drunk in Sydney bars with the local Spurs supports groups. I'm not the one displaying my ignorance...mate.

Its the space between full back and centre back and behind the full back that teams have targeted. Mainly actually the smaller teams. Fulham constantly did it and should have won. Ithink the bigger teams havent done it against us because theyre convinced in there way and thats it. Liverpool do have the wingers to do it though and we could suffer badly. They wont miss the chances a fulham would

it's tough because Pedro is a good player but im gonna have to agree. Watch him tomorrow close, he absolutely stinks defensively, doesnt stop crosses, let's people go past all too often. compare and contrast to destiny who gets stick but is way superior imo.
He isnt scoring or assisting enough to offset his issues for me

I’ll start to believe Ange can possibly find a way forward when he abandons his ludicrous inverted full back “system “ which completely destroys our team pattern both offensively by them occupying the space for players like Maddison to operate effectively and forcing Son and Johnson wide where neither are effective, and also defensively where large gaps are left for the opposition to exploit. It was no coincidence that our best 4 performances against City twice , West Ham and Villa second half came when he played Porro and Udogie as conventional full backs/ wing backs. Every time we revert to the inverted system we look worse . Many have pointed this out but he keeps reverting to it for what reason I do not know.

There is a reasonable chance we get turned over tomorrow and we all know what's going to happen Sunday. If we lose these two then we will probably slip into the bottom half and Ange will have the following PL record: P 53, W 26, D 8, L19. Now take out those first ten games which I know people don't want to do but it reads: P 43, W 18, D 6, L19. That is filthy form and many a manager has gone for far better under Levy. Can only see one outcome on Monday... Mason version 3.0
