It's an insanely meteoric rise for him considering his age and where he has spent most of his career coaching.

The guy was a punt. On the back of his work at Spurs so far (especially finishing 5th, and generally being entertaining) he might land at say a Palace etc, but he's not getting any better than that. Working at a top 6 PL club is literally a career dream come true for him, he's never stepping down, he's never rowing publicly with the board.

I just feel like his finishing 5th was largely due to his first 2 months catching everyone off guard. After that, his record has plummeted. As discussed earlier, he's won some matches when we get up for the "big" teams that have saved him but been dreadful against clubs we should be easily beating.

Obviously it's a competitive league and the odd results will happen, but it's been commonplace under him for over a year now. We've lost 2 out of 3 v Brighton (and needed a last gasp miracle at home last season to get the win). Wolves did the double on us last season. We lost to both clubs we've played that came up this season.

Whether you think we spend as much as we should, or not, we've still got the 6/7th most expensive squad in England and are getting beat by clubs with wage bills half or less than ours.

Don't know that I'd take a risk on him at Palace, honestly. I think he'll get his next club relegated based upon what he gets out of our team vs. what it costs.

I think that has undermined his power in the dressing room and it also influences his team selections as well. Postecoglou has been absolutely ruthless with player management in his previous roles. Not here though.

For example Romero deserved multiple-bullockings and to be benched, but do really think this "no-name" manager from a football backwater is benching a WC-winner? Maddison deserved it well before it was done, but he Maddison was clearly unhappy when it eventually happened.

Ironically, at a club like Palace, it would not surprise me if he is able to make more of it than he has so far.

Ange will get a lesser side relegated in the PL with his suicide football.

I just think he’s maybe the least adaptable coach ever. When the squad is fully fit and fresh we can look pretty well put together. When teams play a way that suits us and we don’t have to make many adjustments we also look great. If it clicks we can score a few really quickly and run over teams. When we have a few key players out we tend to actually look bloody awful and don’t scrape results.

I don’t think he’s terrible. I’m actually really a bit lost in how to ‘rank’ him as it’s such a short period of time at a competitive level and there are mitigating factors. You’re probably right on palace though - the way he plays is horribly suited to the underdog. See Kompany at Burnley or the Southampton coach. We keep trying to play out now with Forster and Dragusin because he will NEVER adapt.

If Ange gets sacked Levy will again hire Mason for the rest of the season.

You can’t and I’m hoping that he will be gone by Monday assuming that we get rinsed by the Chavs so we can let Ryan take over until early January and we might then salvage something from this season.

I gave Ange a little more time after the City win but in hindsight that just looks like being a case of the perfect time to play them. For me the damning thing is Spurs could go out this Sunday and wipe the floor 5-0 against Chelsea but then I wouldn't at all be surprised to see them lose the following three games without scoring and with one awful performance after another.

It's a failed experiment that has all the evidence we need to not continue, especially with a manager who I'm suspecting could be argued to be even worse than Christian Gross. Yea, the squad is poor and the chairman is nonsense but this weekly chaos, and it is chaos, is a total joke.

Time's up for me and my punt would be to give Potter a go. I really don't think it could get worse under him and at the very least we could get some sensible coaching back all done on a Levynomics budget.

He won't sell it , he'll just do it because he doesn't give a fuck , it won't damage his bottom line , business as usual for him .
It will be Mason because I don't believe he will be able to get someone with any pedigree in the way things are .
Very sad state of affairs , but then it's just a rinse and repeat situation for us so why would we be surprised .

Those are accounting losses. ENIC are not losing money out of their own pocket each year.

Operating profit was 62m but net position from player sales was -112m.

We started the financial year with 227m in cash and made 106m from operations and spent 157m meaning a net cash position at year end of 174m. Definitely room to push the boat out a bit more on signings.

While they are not taking an annual yield from the company they are benefitting from the ever increasing value of the club which will be crystalised once they sell up.

So no, we shouldn't feel sorry for them.

When you start using things like fat it becomes much more personal and vindictive, so yes, will cut deeper. In the same way if you call a black person a black cunt it's much worse than just calling a cunt that happens to be black. If you have no idea what i'm talking about then you've never been bullied.

The term cunt on here is largely desensitised here anyway. I'm not a pearl clutching puritan by any means. I'm sure i've called all sorts of people like refs and gooners, cunts. They might end up seeing it, however it's unlikely. However this is a man who is part of our club and trying - despite what some people think - to bring us sucess with the style of football that all us wanted. It's not just hyperbole on a forum, people are now screaming it to his face from the stands.

Even if you're so emotionally broken you can't see why screaming at someone trying to their job that they're a fat cunt is wrong, then at least try and understand that abusing him, or any of our players, isn't going to improve the results.
