Really? You conveniently forget the mocking of losing in a title race with Leicester, the sniggering at the club not winning anything under Poch despite having one of the worlds best strikers who the media were also constantly trying to move on to a bigger team, oh the famous Sky Gary Nevile interview openly discussing a potential move for Kane to Man City, the constant Spursy references which began during that era.......thats not what i call respect or fear, far from it tbh.
yea spot on! fuck being mocked for losing a title race. id rather us entertain the neutrals while we let in 13 goals in 3 games at home. its much better being midtable.

make sure you wipe the window down after licking it pal.

Yeah there was a feeling going into games with Poch as coach for a good 2 seasons where i was pretty confident of a result every week. Looking back, at the results and performances though, I think I have a fonder memory now of some games and performances than I likely did at the time but still the final two 3rds of the 2016/17 season were the most relaxed I've ever been as a Spurs fan.

Nah man it was beautiful. I mean not perfect and yeah the occasional stinker but the anticipation for games! Watching Dembele absolutely fucking boss it. Dele nutmegging fools, how many will Kane score this weak?! Toby & Vert will always be what I think of when I think CB partnership. Cool as ice.

We had some units in that team. Played footy but teams used to dread us. Jose said we were too nice but that was just cliche bullshit, we kicked the shit out of sides under Poch. Bullied them.

We lacked that final superstar touch, that prime Bale or Hazard.. and definitely lacked depth still, but that first 11 was as close as you get to having a really good footballer in every single position. Balance.

Seriously if Bale (or Modric) had emerged a few years later and we had him at his best in that team, we would be sat here now with Spurs having won multiple league titles, some domestic cups and a European cup. Football is cruel.

Iraola or Carrick.

Two coaches who actually coach their teams and have great experience at the highest level, both got their teams punching, both have attacking principles, both happy to develop younger players.

Both in my opinion will be doing better with this squad.

I get the club should be backing our manager but trust Enic to be backing the one guy who isn't improving us...it's bonkers
Iraola. He has coached in the Epl no business making Spurs a coaches first elite job. Levy's poorest decision .

There's no way that we could be 11th, having just conceded 13 in our last 3 home games and and it not feel shit and unforgiveable. But it might be slightly easier to swallow, if I felt like there was an assumption from all, that this cannot carry on and that one way or another something has to give.

But I'm seeing and hearing from not all, but some, a mindset of "we were always going to lose to Liverpool, don't worry about it, nothing to see here" and "good times are coming, keep doing what we're doing" and also the old favourite, "These so called fans and their lack of patience. Give Ange time."

Most importantly of all I see the manager himself saying, no matter what the results are and no matter any evidence, I will not change, ever, so do not question my methods because I won't respond to it.

Well, sorry pal, but we're 11th. Whatever, you think or the downtrodden, misery-wank fans like to say, this club should not be 11th nearly half way through the season. The alarm bells should be ringing, and there should be severe pressure on the manager, coaching staff and players for us to improve results consistently immediately, otherwise hard decisions will be made.

But. There's just an acceptance that we're in this cycle for the forseeable, because maybe, it'd get worse after making a change.

It just makes these frequent shit results all the more draining.

Could be said about all our wingers. It’s obvious now they are told not to track back but stay high and wide. It’s why our fullbacks are always 2 v 1. Got nothing to do with the individuals, it’s them just following the manager’s stupid instructions.

Son tracks back, as does Johnson, they are just pretty half arsed at actually engaging anyone. It's not an instruction that when we are in defensive transition that wide forwards can just just shrug and walk around. Especially when they are the ones that have pissed away the ball cheaply half the time.

Haha. Opposition fans definitely feared us it’s why they were so delighted we fucked it up. Because they genuinely thought we had a chance. Of course there is always pisstaking, it’s football tribalism. But it was a lot fucking better than what we have now. If they were laughing then, wtf do you think they are doing now? We are irrelevant. A joke. A pathetic excuse of team under Ange.

I see we're back to posting Darren Bent clips.

Maybe today we should maybe let them have the ball more, but you know, that's not how we play. So we went out, we gave everything. It didn't work, maybe we will learn for the next time.

'You have to think about how are we physically? Who's playing? How many games have we played in the last week? Who are we playing? Have they rested for one week or something?' he added.
Sounds like he’s saying with so little personnel what do you expect? One players have started three games in 8 days whereas Pool were able to rest more players midweek.

And I don't thin it's fair to blame players. This squad is probably the best I've seen, we are crowded with talent being wasted by Ange. He doesn't know how to set up a defense and that will require a lot of effort to fix under the new manager. People blaming Romero, Porro, Udogie, Dragusin, all of them were top players before came here, and they were great in their first matches, but are going down the hill since Ange came he with his stupid tactics. Also the squad managemente is one of the worst I've ever seem, players being used by their limited, costing us a lot of injuries while some good talents like Spence have been wasted in the bench. The only positive must be we are scoring a lot of goals, but also that is misleading because we score a lot at the expense of our defending, and we end up conceding more than we score most of the time, hence the 11th position.
We have one of the highest goal differentials in the league. So no, we don't concede more than we score most of the time. We score more than concede, most of the time. It's basic math.

I dislike Joey Barton but he's got one thing right , the overall standard in the PL is atrocious , I would have been embarrassed to have defended like some of these players , even on a Sunday .
