Your lack of self-awareness no longer surprises me.

It's absolutely fucking mad he is still in a job. If we don't get to 50 points he cant be here next season because if he is, then we will start next season the same and really be in a relegation fight.
If we finish 11th or 12th, and he keeps his job, the cultists will proclaim the following season that 8th or 9th would be good progression and we're heading in the right direction under Ange.
The lower the benchmark this season, the happier they'll be.
Honestly, I just can’t consider them Spurs fans. They clearly support the man more than the club.

we might be saved by the fact theres 3-4 really poor sides. but give it another 5 league games and we could be below crystal fucking palace!
Ipswich are triers but won't have enough. Southampton are an all time disaster, Leicester shite, Everton, Wolves and West Ham have plenty of implosion potential. We could well finish below any of the others though if things don't turn round fast. Forest's crazy form, plus the mid-table clubs with decent structure, coaches and players in Brentford, Brighton, Bournemouth, Palace and Fulham are making the league very competitive this season.

I'm surprised how charitable most of the media are being with Postecoglou. As well as loads of fans. It goes to show that attacking tactics and press conference content take you a long way.

Perhaps recognition that the club is being let down by Levy is percolating through, to Ange's benefit, too

Of course league position matters. Its amazing how this narrative has crept in as we drop down the table.
players want to play in Europe esp CL. Thats a given. Youre not buying in top players finishing 12th. Possible chance of winning EL might attract next tier. Absolute madness to think you can attract the top tier by not being in Europe
It’s not crept in at all. It’s always been true. The game is about money first and foremost.

Players have short careers to earn.

Then after that, if they can go to a club that expects to win as well that’s a big bonus.

Is a player pushing to leave Spurs for Villa or even Newcastle because they finish above us? No chance

The main risk is our best players agitating for a move this coming summer. That could indeed happen if Ange continues to tank the season.

Other than that, a new, competent coach will get initial improvements from week one.

Managerial improvement actually tends to happen pretty quickly. Like it did in Conte's first season, or when Harry took over in 2008/9, or at most within 6 months like with Poch.

I genuinely fear this is "it" under Ange, albeit with hope for a slight upturn with Romero and Van de Ven back.
I worry that we won't see much improvement because going back to the Chelsea November derby in 2023, we've only had like 17 league games were the entire defence has been fully fit or something like that.

That alone should be a massive warning flag. The injuries are far too consistent for us to build any form of consistency.

I guess the shitshow at Old Trafford has diverted a lot of media attention in that direction tbh. At least they've made some kind of attempt to address the issue.
Once they get their shit to together and move above us, hopefully the attention switches more to us as we become the biggest club floundering in the bottom half.
Ange and Levy have a lot to thank United for this season.

I have joined the Ange out crew , I don’t think he is cut out for the job here and that’s no disrespect as bigger fish have also failed.
I’m happy for him to see out the rest of the season though and I just hope we have started to sound out others to start in the summer. I think it’s pointless making a rash decision now and getting someone else in to fail , the club needs to review what went wrong and go for someone of the same attacking football mould but younger with PL experience.
I guess the question is what could make me Ange in after the season ends? Any kind of trophy and some improvements on our general style of play and looking like a well coached team again and I will eat humble pie.

You doubled down on your financial loss though! Train ticket. Station parking. Bit of food / drink. The loss of family time you will never get back.

You did all that for Spurs. And Ange!!

Not all heroes wear capes!!
:dawsonlol:
£15 train ticket,
£4 car park ticket
£8.25 for pie and coke
Not spending all day being dragged around shops in London with the wife and daughter, missing a football match, fucking priceless.
