the funny thing is, the losers that get off on being contrarians will think thats legit looool.
Appreciate your opinion mate but, if I want to see high scoring games like that, i will buy tickets to a basketball game.Long time follower since Postecoglou appointment and first time poster.
I am an Aussie passionate about football and have seen Ange come up the ranks as I once played at the local club he grew up playing and coaching.
I don't consider the celtic 'rebuild' and dominance his greatest achievement. This guy has the ability to go with youth and turn them into a force of reckoning.
In Australia we have salary capped competition thats designed to be even yet he turned an average team into such a dominant force it was beyond ridiculous.
He then took on the National job and said bye bye to our ageing senior players and stuck with youth in the world cup. We lost all three games but we walked away proud seeing our youth take on world class teams and showing they have what it takes to be in the competition. He then led that team to an Asia Cup years later
This guy is special and picks clubs who lack identify and sets them up for long term success. Don't be fixated on the results YET but continue to look at his philosophy which is to attack and score goals. He will happily concede 3 as long as he scores 4. He sets out to win no matter the opposition.
It hasnt the greatest of seasons and there is work to do but he thrives on this. He's creating a culture that doesn't make excuses for injuries/youth/lack of transfers etc.
I personally credit his stubburness because if he wants to change the mindset of the team he needs to be. This is a journey that he sets the challenge for the players. If he changes his playing philosophy then I'd be more worried because hes going for short term gain over long term success.
A few adjustments to the squad and some returns from injuries and I think we'll have a dominate force again.
At the very least, try show support until the very end so the next manager knows he will have the backing and not be sacked when things get tough like the predecessors.
Well, winning Europa is different from Carabao but I get what you mean.Ange finishing about 15th but winning a Europa League would not make him a better coach than Pochettino who elevated this club in many ways, steered us through an austerity period getting top 4 constantly and got us to the biggest final in club football.
It would be great and worth keeping him on for, but by this logic Ramos would currently be our best ever coach … it’s the most tunnel vision shite ever. Di Matteo won a CL + FA cup double at Chelsea.
He's been under contract with us for 19 months now. When can we start having a little look at the table and judging results. Could someone let us know?
The issue is right now, that we're happily conceding 4 or 6 and scoring 3, which is a little bit of a concern considering what the whole point of the game is.He will happily concede 3 as long as he scores 4. He sets out to win no matter the opposition.
But, you see this is the big issue. The idea that a section of Spurs fans are being unreasonable at having concerns over being 12th in the league or are somehow "not supporting the team" if they refuse to be docile in the face of such results. At the very least, try show support until the very end so the next manager knows he will have the backing and not be sacked when things get tough like the predecessors.
We were before and we will be after mate
A better coach maybe not. I said best I should have said most successful.Ange finishing about 15th but winning a Europa League would not make him a better coach than Pochettino who elevated this club in many ways, steered us through an austerity period getting top 4 constantly and got us to the biggest final in club football.

BJ is scoring, assisting and working hard.
Whatever , knock yourself out .Eh....That's exactly what you've been doing with every post you've been making.
Using the current situation to beat people who are angry, upset, or think we deserve better.
Hey, listen...If you gonna dish it out mate, at least have the decency to take it back, yeah?
oh they are burnt out physically and mentally. theres defo something gone on with maddison, i think thats fairly obvious.
solanke is new and kulu is trying to establish himself centrally and seems to have an elite mentality anyway. i think your standard footballer would of given up on him by now, its playground stuff. if they haven't then i think thats concerning because that would mean they are a bit of an idiot.
the kulu and maddison interviews post liverpool i think tell you what they think, if you read between the lines.

maddison is clearly frustrated with the braindead tactics, kulu alludes to the idiot playing the same side over and over and asking too much of them physically. even asked if its sustainable and he says no loool. i mean it dont take a rocket scientist to work out what they really think of this idiot, they arent going to say it as bluntly tho.
If we are too cheap and unambitious to wait to sack him until the end of season, it represents a regression from big-team mentality/competitiveness, and a return to West Ham levels of existence. If it was the league campaign that affected their evaluation of him the most, I feel he would have been gone already. No realistic shot at CL football, and even European football in general is starting to get out of reach. There must be something else going on here.
In one extreme scenario, if they indeed think that this injury situation spoiled the league campaign altogether, that it would be entirely unfair to judge him on the basis of it, then he may not only finish this season but can also get the next one as well. A significant upturn in league form after everybody returns, even if it doesn’t amount to much in terms of standings, may convince them that he can deliver results under normal circumstances. In this case, even a failure to win a cup won’t be the death sentence for him. They’ll just consider this a lost season and pretend it never happened.
In a slightly different scenario, they still consider injuries as a mitigating factor, significant enough for them to withhold their judgment until cup campaigns come to a conclusion. They still cut him slack in terms of what’s happening in the league, but to have any chance of staying another year, he needs either LC or a deep run in more prestigious FA or EL. This is moderate compared to #1, but they still believe in him somewhat.
Another extreme end scenario is that they can’t wait to get rid of him ASAP. They lost all hope in him, but they don’t want to pull the plug when we’re still in all competitions. They’ll wait until there’s nothing left to play for, and another round of Mason is awaiting us. They’re sitting on their hands for now only because they couldn’t find a replacement, and they’re afraid of the backlash that Mason would probably generate.
I still consider #2 as the most likely one, but hearing all this talk about backing him even #1 wouldn’t surprise me.
Wow!Kulu: "We should think maybe to play a little bit differently, but, we want always to play the same, so, you know, you have to live with the result."
Good find but the situations are quite different.
But yea, if BJ had shown any quality once in a while, he'd get a pass but it's not a one off. It's a hopeless lack of talent. It's him in a nutshell to not be able to score those chances. See how many goals are tap ins and how many actually require really high quality skill. Something you'd expect from a top forward.
You don't really see it often with BJ. I think twice so far this season in the league. It is a fact that it is much easier to score tap ins. I don't know why some people question that. The hard part is getting the ball right in front of an open goal to just tap in. If the team didn't do that for BJ, he'd be stuck at 2 goals.
The other players can use their own creativity to get chances to score. I've seen that once this season from BJ and that was against Brentford.
Once in half a season is not good enough for a 50 m player. I'm sure you agree with that.

BJ is horrendously bad and should be nowhere near Spurs. He'll never be good enough. It was a braindead transfer and the sooner we move on, the better.BJ is scoring, assisting and working hard.
Long way to go in his career. The softness pisses meme off off at times but then there are games when he’s been very good. Still very much a young player.
Tbh if you use him as a cheap scapegoat like that instead of making a real point, your either taking the piss or a bit of a Wally
No you can’t get anyone to score tap ins or anyone would do it.BJ is horrendously bad and should be nowhere near Spurs. He'll never be good enough. It was a braindead transfer and the sooner we move on, the better.
He is scoring tap ins. We could get anyone to do that. He's not assisting much. He's not working very hard either.
If he actually steps up, beat some players, and contribute something to the team, fair enough, but so far he's only leeching on his team mates. He's not helping them to create anything but he's living off their hard work to tap in from 2 yards.
He's a massive burden for the team. He's the reason for our severe underperformance and the few times he was benched, the team destroyed the competition.
0-4 against City
0-5 against Southampton. After the first half Ange decided to put on BJ for Son, probably thinking that BJ could get a few easy goals to pad his stats. Our entire attack died, although some Ange supporters claimed that we were suddenly managing the game. As if.
There's pretty much zero stock anyone can take in twitter polls let's be honest, on any subject at all from politics to Spurs.
I don't think a majority are Ange out but the majority who are Ange In are probably nothing like a Twitter poll sample.
If you ran the same polls on Spurs Reddit you'd probably get 99% Ange In, if you ran it here it would be more 50-50. I dont think there's any accurate way to run such a poll.
Anyone would do it if you have the team mates that can provide you the passes. Tell me one player who couldn't score the tap ins that BJ has scored. Just one.No you can’t get anyone to score tap ins or anyone would do it.
If you don’t understand that then this whole conversation is a waste of Time.
