People acting like there has never been massive shock results in the FA Cup before , ( not that we actually lost , although probably deserved to) . Happened loads of times minnows beating big clubs , will happen again in the future .

Personally I don’t give a shit , we are still in there punching . If we get to the Carabao cup final and lose nobody will say “ fair play to Spurs they beat City , Utd and Liverpool to reach the final .
Actually happens very very rarely - PL club going out to non league. Which of course didn’t happen !!!!

Looks like he's got the rest of season two regardless of results. He's been clever in terms of building up a following and that's going to keep him in after other managers might have been dismissed.
To be fair- the system, as Ange likes to remind us- is "entertaining"- and almost really does work. It's alluringly close to being awesome which is why I suspect many folks are still enamored with it.

I think his fans need to get used to the idea that he won't be our manager for much longer. Thank Satan.

As long as he gets us through into the EL knockout phase and we don’t get embarrassed at the anfield return leg I think he’s safe for the season.

Players are returning. Younger players have exceeded expectations.

My money is levy has learnt a lesson watching Mourinho, conte and even nuno go on to have different levels of success post Spurs. Ange gets this season.

My guess that Levy is going to back Ange and Scott Munn by extension.

Yep. Fair point. His one bad buy to date is Johnson. Werner horrendous, but a loan. We will be losing one at the end of the aeason

Tbh I think we should cut our losses on Johnson. Previously I thought ok as a sub but I don’t think that’s viable. He seems naturally to lack confidence. Never have or will hate on him. Seems a nice kid, but he’s not a winner. Get rid in the summer

Johnson played pretty horribly most of the game and he has some limitations he needs to work on but he assisted the first and scored the third.

He will end this season with very respectable numbers for a player you are saying is a bad buy. His knack of scoring and assisting is pretty useful and it wouldn't surprise me if he goes on another run like he did earlier in the season and scores in a few games straight.

Yes but our high scoring, high conceding system flatters a player like that tbh. He does have a knack at the far post I agree. But is too short in too many other areas

so was Kinsky and everyone is liking what they see so far. Vicario isn't too shabby either.

Bergvall and Gray were as well. Seem like a couple of talented young players to me.

I rate VDV pretty highly too.

None of them - including BJ - were "Ange buys".

They were in a shortlist of players presented to the manager as "available; affordable and within the profile".

Brennan Johnson was young, Home Grown, full international attacker that fit the above criteria. He needed an attacker as we'd just sold Kane and the season had STARTED.

The fuck wits who pretend Ange Postecoglou went out there and demanded Johnson are just being fuck wits.

The ONLY player Ange has received that he's openly targeted HIMSELF is Solanke.

Thats great to know. The poster was pointing out that no manager would get anything out of johnson and werner. My point is in fact both were wanted by ange so he should be able to get something out of them. 50 m johnson and werner on massive wages. Every player wont be a hit obviously but those 2 are struggling and not improving

Not even Solanke was purely Ange. It's group effort that follows a process on every player.

Oh right so im a fuckwit for thinking ange wanted johnson. All the bad buys are club buys and the good ones are ange. Right so 👍

Can you please provide us with a list of players Ange COULD have had which he then DECLINED in favour of those two?

Werner was a stop gap loan who is objectively underproducing.

Brennan Johnson has 12 goals and 3 assists in January. If that doesn't count as "getting anything out of him" then what does?
Johnson is far from the finished product and a more all round player on the RW would likely see him coming off the bench but he's consistently putting up goals and assists. And he will get more this season.
