Plastic pitches don’t really freeze. That is one of the reasons for having them.
We gave up 13 attempts on goal to a very poor side including 8 shots inside our box so you can’t just say they were long range efforts. There is not much whataboutism at all. Up until extra time they probably had more attempts than us until they tired. They had 2 golden chances to win in injury time. A decent side would barely have let them near our penalty area.
Are you really suggesting that our players didn’t want to attack cos they might get hurt????
Terrible performance. We were playing Tamworth who in their division have played 24 matches scored 26 and let in 41. Have some standards Harry. We are THFC not Torquay. Expect more

Kinsy had to make 2 saves all game. Both were comfortable and no trouble. All of their other 'efforts' were easily blocked by our defenders. They essentially lobbed a few balls into the box, that our defenders and keeper easily dealt with.

Just because it is a non-league team - we don't need to go out and win by 100 goals.

no we don't have to win by 100 goals, but with the players we had on from the start for 70 mins you expect the game to have been won by them I would have expected that line up to have put in 3 goals by 65 mins) give our better players a full rest

No we don’t need to win every game by 100 goals. But we were that bad that I can remember watching the last few minutes and praying that we could get to full time so that the sting could be taken out of the game and we could get reorganised. We were anything but comfortable near the end of normal time. And Yes Kinsky may only have had 2 shots to save but that is only because Tamworth’s forwards are not good finishers. They still had 13 attempts.
But you know perhaps you are right. I mean how entitled I must be to expect our players to easily beat a team Barnet stuffed 7-0 and Sunderland U21’s beat 5-1 away a few short weeks ago!!!!

People doing way too much, the players clearly didn't give a fuck and neither should we really...who the fuck should care about how much we beat them by it's such a pointless debate lol at the end of the day we beat them and are through to the next round.

Kinsky
Porro - Drag - Grey - Reguilon
Biss - Sarr

With Spence as the only backup

This will be our defensive engine for the foreseeable future. They desperately need minutes on the pitch together to work on passing and movement. Reggie hasn't played regular football in a long time; and its essential he gets plenty of minutes before our big fixtures.

This game was treated as a midweek training session and served its purpose. We got valuable minutes with these guys on the pitch. Kinsky looks strong. Reggie has done well and Bissouma is starting to rekindle his flair.

Sarr, Madds, Johnson, Son, Kulu, Solanke barely broke a sweat, and Bergvall / Moore did the majority of the 'work' going forward, with Biss doing all of the midfield work Sarr was mostly a passenger).

I've no doubt the game was exactly how we had wanted - albeit an early goal in the first half would have been expected.
What??? Theres some really bad takes on here to defend that performance. It was fucking dreadful. To say it went how we wanted is mental. 120 min on a pitch that could have caused injury and risking our top players having to come on

Standards and clearly a lot of our fans dont have any.
However i do think we will get a result tomorrow night because its a big team we are playing. Our mentality is terrible

You can't be serious here.

We were a 90th minute goalmouth scramble away from potentially the worst FA Cup upset in history.

This was a skin -of-our-teeth dodged bullet. Unacceptable . There's nothing to do but forget it and move on.

Spot on.

Whether we were shit because of the pitch, fatigue, failure to respect the opponent, thinking ahead to the NLD, or Ange, we were still shit. But we dodged the bullet and the game is best forgotten.

Honestly I do think the original context was that he intended to correct a journalist, out of pride--"I haven't usually won a trophy in my second season, I've always won one"--and now, since it keeps being thrown back in his face at every opportunity, he feels he has to own it. I do respect that.
The actual quote below:
"I'll correct myself - I don't usually win things, I always win things in my second year. Nothing's changed. I've said it now. I don't say things unless I believe them."
It wasn't past tense was it mate? Fair play to him for not backing down (although he has done that plenty since he's been here) but lots seem to be backing down on his behalf for some reason.

Thats a lot of whataboutism.

We might have lost, but we didn't. We won 3-0. Their players barely touched the ball. Did you really expect us to play at 100% attack and full press on a frozen plastic pitch? Even more so against amateur footballers who can very easily make rash and mistimed tackles.
We drew 0-0 in 90 minutes with a team 96 places below us.
That's what matters.

We barely beat Tamworth. Where is this false confidence coming from?
We barely beat city and Ajax in the CL run to the final, if we scrape through against Liverpool away and somehow fluke a draw then we are in the Final, I actually respect Ange for this and I just hope some of his confidence filters down to the players, we are potentially 180 Minutes away from our first Trophy in years, of course its not going to be easy but a lot of us thought City would knock us out, united the same and it would be a cricket score in the first leg against Liverpool.
Any way i'd much rather a confident manager than when we had Conte telling us that Tottenham weren't built for winning.

If the players go onto the pitch with confidence and belief anything could happen!
