The dynamics moving forward now are going to be fascinating.

Does Ange walk knowing he's not going to get backed in January when he clearly needs better players?

Does Ange walk when he's given the big I am about winning silverware in his second season?

Would Levy sack Ange now only to bring in Mason which he knows would be a toxic decision for the fanbase?

Levy can't even back a new manager NOW with only 15 days left in the window.

Real rock between a hard place sort of stuff now.

No way Ange walks and misses out on his lifestyle payment!

Ange made me raise an eyebrow against Chelsea last season at home , deeply concerned me last season against Fulham away. He pretty much lost me away to Brighton this season . It was fully confirmed against Ipswich at home .
I like the man but I see int think he is for the PL.

I don’t see us getting a new manager untill the summer , so it’s sack him and replace him with mason . Neither option is great. I honestly don’t want to see mason on the touch line again so I’m thinking it might not be best to just see it out under Ange untill may. Unless of course we drop into the relegation fight .

Right now I would sack Ange and bring in Dyche as interim until the summer. Actually teach our team to defend and set us up well. See what happens. See if theres any actual improvement tactically and make us solid at the back so we can make a better choice of manager in the summer.

We've just drawn over 90 mins against a fucking semi pro side, and then limped to a defeat against our biggest rivals. They should've had 5 tonight. I don't care about injuries or players missing. They're not beyond criticism either, most of them have no fucking professional pride the gutless fucking cunts. But what little he has them doing is fucking terrible. He has to be fired.

Absolutely clueless and I’m amazed that more of our fans other than the fanbois can’t see it!

If mason takes over the hate towards levy in the ground will be on another level. It will be vicious. ……. Actually sounds quite appealing

Hence why it won't happen.

Romero, VDV, Udogie, Davies availability is around the corner allowing for rotation. Bentancur should be available too.

We desperately need a winger who can cross and beat his man.

Can't see us going in for another CB until we sell Romero in the summer (if the rumours are to be believed).

Why do people shit on English managers like Dyche? Yet somehow Ange and di zerbi are gods?t Tell me what the fuck Ange accomplished before coming here? Celtic run themselves. He had some stints at australian and japanese minnows. It took him decades to get a gig in a top flight league. You can see how fucking tactically inept he is. He cant even defend a corner. He’s just not at this level and it shows. And the fact he is a novice and yet still refuses to change anything shows how delusional he is. But it’s okay because reddit hipsters told me he’s some revolutionary martyr of football because he comes from some obscure wank league and says a few cute sound bites.

Heres a thing. Most people dont know shit about football and overcomplicate everything. You know, Ange might relegate us, but god forbid we bring in someone English and working class like Dyche 🤢🤢

Its this mentality that has us where we are. Trying to be clever and here we are near the bottom of the table. We need a reality check and stop being pretenders. We’re fucking weak from top to bottom. The mentality stinks of this fake superiority. Weve got this nice pretty stadium. Great. Tell me what the fuck we’ve won in decades? Nothing. Fuck all.

Weve tried to be big bollocks with Mourinho and Conte. It failed because we never backed them to the extent that they find acceptable. When you hire a manager like Mourinho you go balls to the wall not that half arsed shite we did. A child could tell you that.

We tried the obscure ange bullshit. It failed miserably because it was all smoke and mirrors stuff. You can see the disorganised powder puff bullshit we put out each week and weve got this 2 dollar manager we found down the back of a mattress that refuses to change anything or outright refuses to do a bit of managing, his job. Okay great so just have no manager then.

And now everyones creaming about the next manager. More obscure foreign names that have little to no experience in the league. Have barely heard of Tottenham but theyre the next big thing to win us trophies because “OmG HaVe YoU sEeN tHeRe xG sTaTs” you’re going to get more of the same

What Spurs need is more spiritual. Theres a rot at the club. The player recruitment is shit. The ethos is so dogmatic and shortsighted. It’s either short term plan. Or long term plan buying youngsters. But no inbetween. Its either this project or that project.

we need a reality check. We have to tear up all of our ego and start again. Im sorry but the latest wank manager isnt going to cut it. Its another merry-go round. Someone comes in. Gets used to the club. Tries to shoehorn players into his latest system. Realises he’s out of his depth. Gets sacked. Rinse and repeat.

Now if im Levy It’s completely pointless to hire another manager right now. But its also completely pointless to keep Ange another second. So I would sack Ange and bring in Dyche for the rest of the season and start our recruitment process in the summer with hopefully some answered questions about where we are as a club. And heres what Dyche does. He comes in, tightens up our defence. He gets us playing simple football again. No confusing systems that dont work. Just a well set up team that is hard to break down and defensively sound at the back, whilst having more attacking prowess than what he had at Everton.

The next thing he does is brings a more father figure to the club. Oversees the issue with Spurs mentality. We all know Dyche is a no nonsense guy. Especially when it comes to hipster managers complicating everything. We are a faux club with poncey systems, but shitter versions. Trying to be something we’re not.

A guy like Dyche comes in every time this club needs liberating. Harry Redknapp after Ramos. Sherwood after AVB. We get so lost in our own bullshit that you need a demolition guy like Dyche to come in and just get us playing decent simple football again whilst putting an arm around the players and being strict but build our confidence.

We’re a pussy club. We need someone like Dyche at this moment in time. Is he the answer? No. But he’s necessary for where we are right now to steer the shit and get us back to basics because iv never seen a squad more lost. We cant even defend a set piece because weve got a hipster manager that thinks set pieces are beneath him and that just about sums up this fake wannabe persona this club has.

Sometimes you need a simple manager that is savvy and cunning enough to set up a solid team. Sometimes you need a 33 year old free agent William Gallas that joins just at the right time and is a useful addition to a bigger picture… everything we do is dogmatic and one way these days. Theres no flexibility in it anymore.

For me, he plays rugby tactics in order to avoid relegation. It's respectable but even Redknapp got us out of a relegation scrap with a more attacking style and flair. There is a balance between ultra defensive and ultra attacking and we have gone to far too many extremes without results.

Good point. I don’t think he would put himself in that position. With the players that come back it should be enough to push us up another 3 or 4 places . Then he can make his decision in the summer. It would mean we’ve also given a manager 2 full seasons to prove himself . I’m not expecting any significant signings untill the summer when the new manager comes in .

I can’t believe you typed that many words to argue that Sean fucking Dyche should be our manager.

  • Tottenham have lost 11 games in the Premier League this season; their joint-most at this stage of a single campaign in the competition (also 11 in 1997-98, 2003-04 and 2008-09).

  • The only sides who have lost more in the league this season than Tottenham are the three teams currently in the relegation zone - Wolves, Leicester and Southampton.

  • Since beating Aston Villa 4-1 on 3 November, Tottenham have lost eight, drawn four and only won five of their 17 games in all competitions, although three of those victories have been against Manchester City (4-0 away), Manchester United (4-3 home) and Liverpool (1-0 home).

  • Tottenham have failed to win in their past five games in the Premier League; their last joint-longest winless streak was 6 November to 7 December 2023.

  • Spurs have lost 18 points from winning positions in the Premier League this season - only Fulham (19) have lost more.

  • Tottenham have won just one of their past nine Premier League matches (drawn two, lost six), with that victory coming at bottom side Southampton (5-0). Indeed, since the start of this run only Leicester (four) and Southampton (one) have earned fewer points in the Premier League than Spurs (five).

  • Spurs have not finished outside the top 10 in the Premier League since 2007-08 when they came 11th, but did win the League Cup.

Astounding. If that isn't a downward spiral, I'm not sure what is.

If you believe what you hear, Spurs football department are going to build a squad regardless of who the manager is.

So I think deficiencies will be addressed, albeit in this 'Data-Driven' (Moneyball) kind of fashion.

Essentially we're aiming to be like clubs who have less resources than we do.

Quite the feat for the 7th richest football club.
