I mean, he always comes across well as a true fan in his videos. But professionally he relies on his contacts as the club, so he’s not gonna be frothing at the mouth. A beat writer’s job is to find the news at the club week on week, not write editorials on how he thinks it should be run.
I wouldnt expect him to be frothing at the mouth or telling us how much they should spend or who they should appoint. It might be good if he could dig a bit deeper and ask the question why they are stubbornly backing one of our worst managers in 50 years when they have sacked better managers for a lot less. Anyway i do appreciate this is shooting the messenger somewhat and its the board incompetence that is the real issue.

i said hundreds and hundreds of pages back that this is Levy's guy! his personal project that he has great faith in. he is not going anywhere till the summer, save yourself the effort of expecting the sack after every negative result. it's not happening

It would be a massive personal fail for him, and i don't think he has a clue what to do next and would want the summer to make such a pivot

I think the fact we haven't signed anyone bar Kinsky who represents an almost guaranteed return on investment given the size of the fee and his relative age and experience speaks volumes. I think Levy probably just doesn't like the optics of sacking Ange on the back of a narrow loss to Woolwich, anything but a resounding win vs Everton will see him gone and we may pull the trigger on a deal or two after that to make it look like we're backing the new man in or paving the way for his entry if he hasn't got someone lined up to come in immediately.
Realistically at this point even if we can't get an Iraola to leave Bournemouth til the summer surely Terzic would take the job on a decent contract, even if only for 18 months? If we were 8th and not far off pace for top 4 I would preach patience for Ange but being in relegation form at the business end of the season does not warrant fucking patience, it warrants action.
We've had 9 other narrow losses this season.
Narrow losses. It's just who we are, mate.

How do you know that?

I am sure they are hanging on to the cups, but the reality is we're likely going out in the Carabao semi, and getting in the EL play-off. 50/50 on the Villa away game. Make that Villa favourites

But MUCH MUCH more important than the cups to Levy will be remaining in the PL. That is seriously big money. As in, a large double digit %age reduction in his asset value. That is serious shit. Lose to Everton and we are in a relegation battle, make no mistake.

If we somehow beat Everton and Leicester then you might be right. We avoid a relegation scrap and Ange gets to see out the cups (we won't win one btw). But it's on a knife edge right now.

Yes probably unfair but as a journo it might be nice to cast a critical eye over board and manager sometimes rather than just regurgitate what he's told.
Gold has, to his credit, been openly critical of both Levy and previous managers in the past.

I think that he, like so many others, have just fallen for Ange's persona and charm.

For all of his flaws as a manager, he seems incredibly skilled at cultivating his Big Ange persona.

Sack Ange...don't even bother with the usual "we thank him & wish him well" bullshit statement. Fuck him.

Phone Zidane up. Beg. And beg again. Tell him he'll be allowed to walk for the France NT job in Sept '26. Give him what Pep's on. Put it down on a legally-binding doc that you'll do everything he asks during his tenure. Then wake Lange the eff up and tell him to go sign the 3 or 4 players Zizou needs right now. No haggling, pay the friggin fees & wages...even if they're Real level.

See how all of a sudden we become a proper top club, climb up the league table and win a cup.

Bur Levy.
More chance my hair grows back after 25 years, my 6 pack finally "comes in" my cock grows to porn star levels and the mrs morphs in to Margot Robbie than any of that.
Gut feeling is Poch will be back at some point. He would leave USA job in a heartbeat
Has he actually started working yet? TBH, I don't think he should come back to work for Levy. If we got new, ambitious owners then yeah.
Absolutely agree with everyone who is saying where was this time and patience with Poch after challenging in top 3 most seasons and a CL final. Just don't add up.
We needed top 4 and the income then. Now it's all about Beyonce and Karting.

Why does he have all this faith in some guy he'd never heard of until 2 years ago when he's never had this much faith in anyone ever including the manager who got us to a CL final and made us consistently better than the Goons with multiple Top 4 finishes?

i dont know, no doubt he had a lot of positive advice about him helming the kinda project levy wanted to start post conte and jose.

As for poch, well it is what it is, i said at the time he should be the last one out the door. But by all accounts the relationship between the two was done

Ok but it's so out of character for Levy to have a personal pet project manager with unbounded patience.

Maybe he's been kidnapped and replaced with an alien imposter.
