You are in a growing majority most likely.
I’d say it’s me and a few others who are in the minority that do
I'm still with you. It seems a weird time to sack him just before he starts getting the bulk of the team back.
I can't overlook the impact the injuries have had. I know people will point to our form with a full squad but I think those performances merited more than the points we got.
Romero was making lots of mistakes which were punished, Solanke wasn't fully fit/settling in and most of the games we lost we played on a Thursday whilst the opponents had had a full weeks rest and preparation.
I think we really need a wide player who can beat a man and we have missed Odobert was brought in to do this. When you look at Brighton, Bournemouth, Brentford and even West Ham their wide players would all get into our team.
Bentancur is more reliable than Biss who has been way too inconsistent and Sarr is still learning.
At the end of the day if you buy a bunch and have to rely on them week in and week out you aren't going to get consistent results I do think it will payoff on the end but we need more ready made players for the here and now.
This system needs a lot of players confident and in form to pull it off. It must be draining (both physically and mentally) pressing all the time and playing out from the back without get rewarded. I'm not saying they deserve to be rewarded recently but momentum and confidence are huge in football and when things aren't going well you start to doubt yourself, your teammates and the system.
I do get people's concerns though and obviously results can't continue much longer like this.
If he does get sacked maybe Houghton for the rest of the season would be a good option. Then go and get Iraola in the summer. Regardless we should go all out for Baleba and some proven wide players.
