Oh doomy I said no funny answers now, come on have an opinion and stand on it mate :sonpoint:
In all seriousness, if he goes and wins us 5 or 6 out of the next 10

And ends the season relatively strong , comfortably top half , I could see the logic in giving him the start of next season to go again , hopefully with a proper window in the summer to actually try and improve the squad

Neither of those things are going to happen though

1) we have had do to that [play our first available team twice a week] pretty much since the City game though

2) out CBs have NOT been sprinting back 40 squared yards this season. It's barely been happening. Didn't romero do his trying to do a Cruyff turn in his own pen area?
serious question. What do you put the injuries down to? Played less games last year and had a crisis. Played more this year injury crisis.
Is it training methods style of play? We do have to do a lot of high intensity running so training needs to be tailored to ease off on that and keep it for matches

And in Japan what formation did he tend to play?
Again using wing backs rather than full backs?

As for the CF Solanke is almost the polar opposite to Kyogo. So I’m guessing Ange has just evolved his style to take into account the sheer physical demands of the premier league.
Didn’t realise he was only 5’7 and 63kg. Don’t really see CFs in the premier league that size much.

When you say he needs fast wingers he bought in Werner and Johnson. The pair of them pace is their most significant attribute. So he’s clearly still working with that as a base idea.
Fast wingers not headless chicken wingers

WALOB

You have principles or you don’t. You earn them by sticking to them.
You can tweak and still have your principles. Im sick of klopp and pep been used as an example of managers having principles. (Not by you in this message) klopp seen his heavy metal football wasnt sustainable and changed it up. Pep eased off on the manic high press and became a possession based, with 3-4 centre backs at the back.
Plus easier to have principles to buy what you need in every position. We cant and need to adapt.
theres principles and then theres being pig headed

I’m not sure levy has bought into it

I think it’s a realization that no manager is particularly interested in working with him, no manager of any quality

This new “ loyalty “ is purely because he’s burnt too many bridges & Mason will go down as well as a poop sandwich
We had both Mourinho and Conte. We all know they are shit, but I'd say they are still viewed as managers with quality, at least they were before Tottenham. Empirical evidence says managers go anywhere as long as they get paid well.
I really don't think there is a problem finding a good manager that wants to come.

I want to keep him if the alternative is Ryan Mason or Matt Wells or some no mark from the coaching team which will be a general admittance of yet another failure from the club and another season thrown away.

All up for sacking him now if we had a manager worth their last lines up ready to go but that is not the case.

Happy to get rid in that Summer for an Iarola though should we finish in a position we are now with no cups.
I think Terzic is ready to start tomorrow.

Hey Ange outers I have a question for you:

Is there anyway you'll want this manager to keep this job, like what can he do to change your mind realistically to gain your trust again from now until the end of the season? Or are you completely done with him no matter what?

No funny answers please, just curious. :)
Wouldn’t bother with questions like this. Most of them support other teams so the more disruption the better

I’d wager there’s a lot less takers than there were 4 years ago and I think that’s due to how the club is run , its mentality , top to toe seems to be half arsed & acceptance rather than ambition & win at all costs , it definitely rubs off onto the players

I’m really curious what happened with Nagelsmann last summer and what he wanted that led to pulling out of Chelsea and Spurs,

I think more and more managers are evaluating the situation at the club and how the power structure is weighted for front offfice and players vs the coaches

Why do you think Iraola is worth waiting for above a coach who’s available now like Terzic or Xavi?

We have invested pretty much since Mourinho took charge. If you compare to the rest of the world we're about top 10, I guess. I think most managers would choose Tottenham over 95% of all other teams in the world. If we want a new manager I'm pretty sure we can find one.

-2 year Prem experience
-Plays a similar (less extreme) game to Ange so an easier transition
-Demonstrated that he can upset the bigger teams in the league
-Has his team punching well above their weight
All true.

Also never won any thing in his career and never managed a team playing twice a week in Europe. Also no track record at all of developing young players and we have a squad built around teenagers
