Why do you think Iraola is worth waiting for above a coach who’s available now like Terzic or Xavi?
I think if you get rid of Ange, Iraola has to be first choice.

Injury crisis at Bournemouth and they’re undefeated in 10. Similar to Ange but probably not as chaotic and more adaptable. Also he’s Spanish so the respect from the players and fans will double overnight. Let’s face it, Spain produces good managers. Also got An amazing season from Solanke.

Reminds me of Poch’s time at Southampton…

None of that moves me and I’m a fan of Iraola. Been following him since Rayo Vallecano

He’s missing 3 CBs, LB and a GK?
He had his starting #6 suspended 7 games and knocked out twice? Hes starting 2 18 year olds, one of them out of position, and a RB with less than 5 PL games under his belt out of position at LB?
Theyre missing 2 strikers, 2 rb, centre back 3 midfielders.
Its bournemouth. Smallest club in the league.
Who in gods name do you think is replacing those players for them???
A 40 mil 18 yo? An 18 yo that Barca wanted? A centre back also wanted by Munich at the time, international that played at the euros? A player of Spences talent? One of the highest rated young keepers in Europe?
Injuries is not ideal but weve better players to replace those players than a tiny club like that. Hes getting a tune still out of them

You're right. Between me and my wife we drop two grand a year on STs for a fucking laugh but secretly we wear Gooner vests under our overpriced Spurs merch so who's having the last laugh.

This all makes sense now.

Admits to being from south London.
Username CF14. CENTRE FORWARD 14!!
A certain Mr Henry shirt number

And the piece de la resistance…..
Jimothy translates to Thierry in French!!!!

Hiding in plain sight!!!!

Another case solved by my genius!!

Yes that's not good. But a good manager would in the time since he started been able to create a way to play, especially in defence, some patterns, that the team can stick to. Not like the total anarchy defence we are watching every week. In sure also it would have been good to practise this every now and then, as well as practising defending set pieces. With a plan, both in attack and in defence a well drilled team wouldn't have to suffer as much as we have done.

An interesting comparison:

Spurs - 9 first team squad injuries. 1 league win in 9. 15 points off 4th place.

Bournemouth - 9 first team squad injuries. Unbeaten in 9 league games. 4 points off 4th place.

What a difference a competent manager makes.

Liverpool and chelsea were the only games where we have been really loose defensively. Outside those 2 games, we don't really concede that many goals compared to the rest of the league.

How long those players been out for?

serious question. What do you put the injuries down to? Played less games last year and had a crisis. Played more this year injury crisis.
Is it training methods style of play? We do have to do a lot of high intensity running so training needs to be tailored to ease off on that and keep it for matches

Personally, looking at where most of our injuries have come from it is in defence.

Vicario..... unfortunate
VDV recurring Hamstring injury
Romero.... was a foot injury then a hamstring issue after doing a stupid turn in the box.

These issues then forced us to have to play others for more than we would have liked which then caused other injuries.

Udogie should have been rested more for sure though and that is down to ange.

Our MF and Attack do more sprints than our defenders - much more in fact and there are stats out there to show it. These players bar Werner aren't occurring because of over training.... I doubt that was Odoberts issues either as he was barely with us 5 mins before he got injured.

So in short. I'm not 100% sure but I think especially in defence the iSsue is exsperated by having to over play some players becauee of the other injuries.

What do you think?

Odobert seemed to get a dead leg (to me) player came in behind him and kneed him in back of leg
