There have been lots of moments but I think calling out Werner, however poor the bloke was, was quite a big moment.

It was also rank hypocrisy and much as players should not be protected from all crisis, a manager's job is to blame all collectively ot to blame none.

Cardinal sin in my world.

I just think if he was going he'd be gone already. Levy doesn't seem particularly in a rush this time.

I don’t think Levy thought it could be this bad, he knows nothing about football after all.

Eh this is BS. It didn’t work sure. But hind sight is 20/20. The established, proven hires haven’t worked either. You’ve got to take a risk on an upcoming manager at some point. He checked all the other boxes. It’s been a multi factorial reason for failure. But it’s not like it’s the first time. We’ve failed every which way. This was the way to fail most of us wanted. Attacking, young players, exciting football, etc.

A risk on an upcoming manager is fine. That’s not what Ange is, a 60 year old cannot be described as an upcoming manager.

If we’d hired Iraola or a similar profile instead of Ange, that would have been fine. Poch was our greatest success after all.

Ange is an old man who is set in his ways with no capacity to learn or adapt at this level. That he panicked and played a back 3 today after insisting he would never change, even he knows he’s reached the end. Pure desperation.

Sack him tonight

I appreciate that you tried Ange. But you said that you'd rather fall on your sword than change who you are. So time to commit seppuku.

Best of luck in the rest of your career.

Even given the inherent problems with the club it's always the manager who gets sacked and he isn't good enough to be given a pass for that. Frankly he's way out of his depth.

He needs to go tonight. Drop him off at a random service station.

Dragusin is extremely poor with the ball. His defending is mediocre.

Gray showed his age today. Nothing wrong with that, but it shows you that a good PL club cannot have so many teenagers playing a prominent role at the same time.
Where did Gray show his age today? He was again one of the bright spots.

As soon as we took off Dragusin, we conceded 0. An 18 year old midfielder has already become a significantly better CB.

Ange in. Saved his job for certain.

The two goals at the death showed his iron will. A winning mentality that never downs tools. What a comeback.

We will take the momentum full into next week. Back Ange and his masterclasses from 3 goals down.

Appreciate the crash course in tactics. 👍

Can’t be any more clear really.

I CAN SEE WHY WE TRIED A DIFFERENT HIRE THAN THE USUAL.

IT HASNT WORKED.

IT NEEDS TO END.
Yeah we tried with Ange I agree we you, whether injuries or squad depth or just not a good enough squad it’s going/gone pear shaped or he underestimated the premier league ……Conte & Mourinho were winners in a totally different way get the job done, nobody can say it wasn’t eye bleeding stuff cos was watching Tottenham under Conte was a chore bloody hard work, but it’s about results Ange isn’t getting them so……….

This is why I think Levy has failed the club. Everyone knows we need depth with real senior players, yet we have only bought a GK. We need another CB, another MF, and another winger.
To be fair, why would any decent player sign for us right now? What player is looking at our form and what Ange has done to the perceived value of all of our recent signings and thinking "I'll have me some of that".

Transfers take willing engagement from players, as well. No doubt Muani saw an offer from Juve and counted himself lucky to swerve our shit show.

I am Ange out at this point, but I can understand the view that the players he has had to use in the last few months are just not at the level required to be even mediocre.

Could not agree with this more. I would also add that Son is not a CF, and is a shadow of his former self.

Let's not rewrite history ... Mourinho was past his sell by date way before he came to Spurs.
