I suspect that it's a dominance thing.

He only looks people in the eye when he feels like he is in a position of dominance, were he can dominate the discussion and speak with confidence. When he cannot do that, he avoids eye contact, probably because he doesn't want people to see weakness in his eyes.
It was striking that his frankly weird “Are you not entertained?” was the one post match interview in which he made strong eye contact

Looked creepy!

The old classic. Happens every time and it’s not true, the club release it to put pressure on the players and manager rather than themselves. The club release that before every manager is sacked, I posted all the links a few months ago and how long it then takes for the manager to be sacked. He’s done.
To be clear, what's not true? What are the club releasing and why does that portend an imminent exit? Out of interest.

Honestly I’ve followed his career and injuries ARE NOT the norm. That’s a fact.
A fact, is it, "Oz" something or other?
Ange Postecoglou admitted his all-action style of football and a ‘ridiculous’ fixture schedule has contributed to Celtic facing the possibility of losing talisman Kyogo Furuhashi for the League Cup final.

The Japanese international limped out of last night’s superb 3-2 Europa League win over Real Betis with a possible hamstring strain - after replacing Albian Ajeti who went off with the same injury.

And with Jota already out, Postecoglou is facing a nightmare pile-up in his treatment room.

The Australian slammed the fixture schedule but admitted that his high-intensity demands on the players are also contributory factors.

I make that 3 "unprecedented" injury crises in as many years. Yeah totally unpredictable all this.

But conceded more than 3 goals on 3 occasions and haven’t beaten any team in the league if they score more than 1 goal in the game. Haven’t won any games by a single goal margin either.
This is absolutely the most concerning part of it all for me.
Thank you for putting it so bluntly having done your research (I hope cos I can’t be bothered fact checking. But it does fit in with what I’ve watched ).
If a team scores more than once- we’re out of ideas.
It’s appeared that way from an eye test. We either steamroll teams beyond redemption & look awesome (hence the goal difference) or we run out of ideas if/when things go slightly off piste and end up being in very entertaining games that have left us bordering on relegation places or exiting competitions against (frankly) shite.
If I was a neutral, I’d have spurs as my second team because we are like Forrest Gump’s box of chocolates. And always worth watching if you’ve no dog in the fight.
But a basic flat track bully side that looks great when it’s all going well, but turns to a mess when the game can’t be forced how we want it to go.

It was meant as a question. So I should add a “?” Do you think it’s down to bad luck?

It’s obviously a non starter to play a system that needs 5-10 more players. Also it would like be very incoherent. So would bring its own problems

It’s not unusual to have 5 rotation forwards like he did at Celtic. The issue we’ve had this year is that Richy and Odobert have been out the whole season and Moore has even been out for 2 months. He’s had no real ability to rotate.

Richy you could say is luck but imo the club knew Richy is injury prone, they should have had another forward signed who can play that and Werner on loan was just obviously a cheap option when we had to know Son isn’t a player able to start most weeks.

Benetiz has been sacked from his last 3 jobs for being terrible, including Everton in the Premier League where they were.....15th at this stage of the season when he was sacked.
Every manager we've ever had has ended up being sacked for "being terrible". Even the great ones. It's what tends to happen to happen to managers, and the fact Benitez has three under his belt doesn't mean shit in isolation.

Further, claiming him having Everton in 15th is a "failure" is odd considering they've been circling the drop for the best part of 5 years. It's par for the course for them.

His time at Newcastle was widely seen as a success, given the constraints he was under.

Lest we forget he won the Spanish league with Valencia, the Champions League with Liverpool, and the EL with Chelsea during his period as an interim. He's no mug, he's familiar with short term jobs, and would without doubt keep us in the division. Probably set up our defence well for the next manager too. Could do a lot worse than Benitez.

i think theres a bit of that going on. good way to get out of playing for this idiot.

lets be honest, you aint rushing back for this clown now are ya! im sure VDV and romero will be taking their time now after last time too.

the idea that we play better when they are back is a fallacy too. they were back for the second half of last season and we got worse

Bissouma now injured with a hamstring strain.

I am sorry but anybody pretending this has nothing to do with Ange is insane. The evidence is overhwhelming.

I have never seen anything like it at a football club, it absolutely has to be down to Ange's training and methods.

Anyone waiting for the injury list to clear up to give Ange a fair crack of the whip is just stupid at this point, because as we are seeing, the injury list is never going to clear up at this point. Under Ange we will always have around 10 players injured, if not more.

Whatever he has the players doing in training is completely fucking up our squad.
Did a bit of digging and these are the muscle injuries from his time in Japan:

20/21
3 players missed 4 games each RB, DM, RW

19/20
CB missed 8 games
RW missed 4 + 9 games

18/19
CF missed 4 games

His first season at Celtic was pretty bad:

21/22
CB - 2 games
CM - 12 games
AM - 3 games
CF - 18 games
CF - 16 games

But better in the 2nd:

22/23
LB - 2 games
CM - 2 games
CM - 20 games
LW - 4 games
RW - 4games

In his first season here it also wasn't that bad:

Spurs 23/24
Romero - 2 games
VDV - 10 games
Davies - 6 games
Sess - out for season (before Ange)
Lo Celso - 8 games
Brennan - 2 games
Richarlison - 5 games

You can compare it with the season before Ange came (more games missed even excluding Sess)

22/23 (pre ange)
Romero - 8 games
Davies - 3 games
Lenglet - 1 game
Sess hamstring - 16 games
Bentancur - 4 games
Kulu - 6 games
Moura - 6 games
Richarlison - 7 games

This season has been crazy though

After 22 games:
Romero - 7
VDV - 12
Davies - 7
Udogie - 3+
Son - 3 games
Odobert - 18+
Rich - 10 games

Anyway I don't think it's as simple as just saying it's all Ange's fault and it's down to his 'suicidal' high line and his training methods. Note the lack of injuries to CBs at other clubs for a start. Also VDV missed 14 games with a hamstring injury before he even came to Spurs. Romero also missed 18 games for us with a hamstring injury in 21/22 and a further 7 in 22/23 before Ange arrived.

Richarlison has been injury prone since he got here (or suffering mental health issues) and he was injured crossing a ball which seems unlikely to be down to the system/training methods. Odobert had hardly been with us for 5 mins before he got injured and as I remember it it was him challenging for the ball.

Udogie was inevitable and definitely on Ange for overplaying him, Spence should have been given a chance earlier and been in the Europa squad. He obviously doesn't trust reggie and presumably Archie/Ben were meant to be the cover but he couldn't call on them.

Personally I think ultimately the lack of squad depth has been the main issue. I guess you can blame Ange for not rotating more with the youngsters but they are really young and he would get pelters for that too if didn't pick up results.

Just thought I would share what I found as was interested if the evidence was infact overwhelming and I'm not sure it is!
