I want Levy to do the right thing more than I want the bloke gone.

Right now it's just bizarre, because he is usually decisive one way or the other, and next to nobody would be criticising him for dismissing Postecoglou.

What that might mean for any so called project is completely secondary at this point.

For one thing we was just volcanically pissed off and not really calculating in those comments, for another that rant was always more directed at his players than Levy per se.

But all of that said, what he was trying to communicate is that the club had a weak, loser mentality from the day he got there, and he couldn't stand to not just come out and say so anymore.

Until this club truly gets behind the real issue at this club we're doomed to carry on the merry-go-round. Look at Newcastle and their fanbase when under the ownership of Mike Ashley.

It's easy to find faults in the potentially the hardest manager's role in the PL. I'd argue Ange is / was everything Spurs fans were crying out for before he arrived.

Scottish league is 43rd in the world. J-League is 26th.

Championship is 11th. Would you be happy if some rando championship gaffer was put in charge next year?

I have no issues being wrong mate. If Ange gets sacked for that loss, he can have no complaints, that’s the business he’s in. I’ll say I’m wrong and move on.

You and I and every other Spurs fan who have seen manager after manager go the same way will know where the root of the issue is though.

I’ve been with you, arm in arm, since Ange joined. But it’s gone far too far now. Even if the club had got in a couple of players to strengthen things, I’d maybe be less annoyed. But if they aren’t supporting him, why the fuck should I? Don’t think he’s getting enough effort from the players above all else.

However, like you, I don’t ever see this eighteen month rotation of managers ever working. That’s certainly why I hung on as long as I did. I’d love to be strong minded enough to still be behind him, but this rough patch is just too rough for me.

But it’s probably the most realistic outcome.

Clearly a reason why money isn’t been spent this month. ENIC don’t want to be here, and won’t invest anymore, Levy wants to stay but can’t afford to without backing.

I think he meant the club has no winning culture, the mentality of players is weak and the owners are more interested in revenue rather than winning on the pitch. Managers get sacked but that doesn’t change the underlying issues. We’re not a club where winning on the field is demanded as the priority. The players know that too.
