No I got lost in a bit of a temper, it was more of a general point against the gathering talk of this supposed Cup based payout stuff tbh...
I can't see how as a top club with such a financially prudent Chairman we don't have a release clause in his contract , it makes no sense at all! We are sat in fucking 15th hovering above the drop zone, we should be able to show Ange the door and not give him a penny in compensation!!!!

I'm actually pretty shocked their wasn't an announcement of him going this morning, the people who said we don't need to worry about relegation are the same people saying we would beat Leicester.......

You don’t ‘progress’ as a manager. Once you’ve hit the big time, you are what you are and ‘progression’ is really ‘regeneration’ of the team and getting that combination of excellent players and a little bit of luck which helps you forge a team.

That’s why Ange won’t progress. His football is silly and naive and requires a planetary alignment of certain factors to occasionally shine.

Poch would work very well with this squad. People might not want him, due to different reasons, but he’s miles fucking better than Ange.

I personally don't think he would be doing that well with this squad against others in the league right now - the Prem has come a long way since he was here and whilst, for sure, he'd be doing better than Ange - despite a decent run at the end of last season his football with Chelsea was pretty shit and he would get pelters here almost immediately.

No point in going back

The best game this guy has managed us in was City at home last season where he did everything he could to hand scum the title, whilst mugging off the fans.

He's now dragging us down to the Champo having spent most of the rest of his time here abandoning the effective measures he employed in that game.

Guy is a fucking troll.

In fairness it beggars belief that he's on the wage he's on...

How tf did we tie ourselves into £5m per year to hire an almost 60 year old nobody from a pub league, and make it 4 years whilst we were at it???

And the best part about this is, doing fucking what?

This calamity chaosball nonsense would arguably be worth it if the solid foundation that you were entirely neglecting to build were absent in favour of a bunch of players up the other end causing a headache for the opposition, but they aren't...

As Matt1882 Matt1882 has pointed out repeatedly, we're outnumbered everywhere on the pitch.

Where the hell are our players? Not in defence that's for sure, midfield? Nope, nothing to be seen there, must be in attack then? Nope, fuck all going on up there either...

Seriously, only position that I'm confident that we are fully manned in is Keeper, and that poor c**t will always be on a hiding to nothing no matter who it is and what form they're in. I'm sure it won't be long before Ange has him inverting and/or pressing.

The thing is, there is no real way to overload. It's a bit of a myth.
The game is 11 v 11
If you overload one area of the pitch, you are always going to be short elsewhere.
You're best way to "overload" is to dominate the ball to such a degree that the opposition spend all their time running after the ball but not getting it.
But we can't do that because all our players look like they don't practice. We don't know what to do with it or without it. It's a total mess.
So every time "angeball" is in effect, we have players out of position and the entire team is exposed. It's making players make more and more errors more often. There's the errors that give the ball away through lack of basic training and then the errors that getting forced because of the constant bombardment the defence are under.

We are constantly in a poor position. When we attack, we let the opposition reset and defend. When we lose it, we're all so far up the pitch it's almost always likely to result in a strong chance when we give the ball away.

It's the same thing. Minute after minute, game after game, month after month. We're an absolute fucking mess and we're getting worse.

It's utterly bizarre, and again incompetence on Levy's part.

First, and most obviously in appointing him, but second in the wage.

He was apparently on £2m pa at Celtic. Now, Tottenham is/was a bigger job than Celtic. He may well have taken it at £2m pa, but in any event, say you went to £3m pa and said "and a further £2m if you win a cup"... is anyone saying he wouldn't have taken that? What other offers did this cunt have?

That first half where he decided to surprise City and suddenly press in the midfield and cut off their out ball.

And we turned into 2005 AC Milan for 45 minutes. The one time he’s shown some tactical ingenuity it would have given the Scum the league.

Genuinely have PTSD from that game.

I'd happily take Poch.
I wasnt sure about bringing him back before because it will never be as good but its perhaps the most realistic of the serious options that we could possibly get now.
He obviously works well with young players and improves them, so a good match for our squad and he would bring a bit of a feel good factor back.

It wouldnt be the same and it wouldnt be another 5 year stint but even 2.5 years to get us back on an even keel would be a massive improvement. I'd rather Iraola but if we could do this now i'd take it.
