Patience is needed

Second season of a rebuild.
Recruitment has been majority players under 20, and replacing Kane with Solanke.

Players are behind the manager

The fans need to get behind the manager and the team.
Cheer them into great feats rather than jeering at their attempts.

I’ll loose more of you here, but as recent history to glean. Arteta sat in 15th in his second season in December, had a worse start to their 3rd season, and had trouble in the change room. The club stuck with him and the rebuild focused on youth.

Sacking the manager is not the answer right now (Either is Arteta). But a bit of patience, and the miracle of a quality January signing or 2, and a club all cheering as one. Let’s see where this squad can take us.
You don't do a very good impression of a clever football fan.

Come on man!! It’s the match day excitement!!

Let it take control of you!!!!

Mikey Moore has done that. Kid just goes at people

Elfsborg look a whole lot worse than Tamworth. This should be an easy win, eventually.

No doubt Ange will get all the credit.
Unfairly. Could win this without a coach.
Might even win more easily without one.

Those seem to be the games we win now, where we simply have better players. Tactics no longer have any effect because we don’t have any. Not amazing considering the quality of opposition.

this postecoglou experience has been something incredible to be honest. the idiot spurs fans i know personally who still wanted him in up until a couple weeks ago, ive lost all respect for their opinions when it comes to talking about football. and for them to be this thick with something they are meant to be passionate about ive actually lost respect for them as people all together. sad really, its exposed utter fucking morons.
I've had a similar experience.

Been saying on here for months now that we will win a cup this season (or at least get to a final or two)

Still not sure if that protects Ange's job, but it will have all been a hell of a ride.

Mention of "Arteta was 15th" should warrant an automatic ban. Just the epitome of dense, ill-informed comment.

1) The season started in end of September (Covid season) so December back then was basically akin to October/November in any normal season. We are 1 day away from February ffs, you simply can't compare being 15th then with 15th now.

2)The last time Arteta was 15th was in game week 14, fully 9 games earlier than we are now.

3) After 23 games that season Woolwich sat in 11th with 31 points. After 23 games this season Spurs are 15th with 24 points. They were getting better as the season progressed, we are only getting worse.

4) Arteta had won the FA cup 4 months earlier beating Chelsea and City en route, so had credit in the bank. Ange does not.

5) Arteta was about a year into his management career so you could feasibly argue he was still learning on the job. Ange is in his ~30th year managing. This is who he is and always will be.

Too many other mitigating points to bother mentioning.

Just out of interest, why do you think that?

Our football has been uniformly terrible for a long time. Yes, injuries. But the team hasn’t improved or shown any signs of hitting a consistent style of play.

So we look a lot, lot worse than seasons where we haven’t won anything.

Is it simply a case of believing in footballing irony? That it’s better to be lucky than good?

Because I cannot see us getting the better of any half decent side. Leicester brushed us aside, at home.
