You do understand that playing an insane highline results in more sprints towards our own fucking goal when the other side recover the ball?

There’s nothing particularly insane about our defensive line. It’s practically the same as we played in peak Poch. We just don’t have the right balance in midfield or enough quality up front to maximise penning in tbe other team currently.

Yes there fucking is.

We don't even have the players to play that style and succeed in the Premier League in the squad at full strength IMO.

If they won't fucking spend...and it's becoming quite clear they won't, they need to get someone else in to play to the squad's strengths rather than this ridiculous it's who we are mate bullshit that's crippled half of them as we plummet down the table.

Spurs still attractive says Ange

The last couple of days haven't helped the optics of Spurs being the elite proposition they were meant to be when they moved into their brand-spanking stadium all those years ago.

Ange Postecoglou remains adamant that the club is "still attractive for players," despite being rejected by 19-year-old Bayern Munich forward Mathys Tel.

"It's still a big club, it's still a club that can challenge for honours and it's whether the player sees the potential that we see right now, or certainly that I see. If it's too much of a hard sell, it's probably not the right one for us," he said in his pre-presser ahead of the weekend.

players are not coming unless we give them above mkt rates

I wonder if those stats about distance traveled and especially sprints are available for those years.

There are definite similarities, but it didn't feel like we had to scramble back the whole length of the pitch all the time in those peak Poch years. The league was pretty different back then.

Plus he played much, much weaker cup teams, there was not as much twice-a-week action for his players.

He had a better side comparatively to the rest of the league and the squad today too.

Ah yes data dump with zero context. No doubt this will lead to an enlightening debate.

Bournemouth purportedly have 10 injuries at this very moment, that data is suspicious

He's got 2.5/3 months to prove himself when he gets most of his players back from United home onwards. No way he deserves to start next season if he can't clearly and obviously show us what AngeBall is actually all about and how it can work CONSISTENTLY at this level.

Us doubters all hope we're wrong, but he's going to fail and fail badly. He's just not astute enough and we're too easy to exploit even with our full team out (seen it so many times already). But he gets until May to help settle the debate amongst this divided fanbase (it's more divided elsewhere than it is on The Fighting Cock).
You're right. There are a few people here who understand football but still think there's a chance this system will work. But the people here who watch the game closely see the disorganization and the mistakes that get made again and again. If you're a casual fan maybe you don't pick up on that as much. Those fans, and I think they are still in the majority, really like the Big Ange personality and look elsewhere (Levy, injuries) to explain what's happening. Those are the fans that will keep Postecoglou in his job until next season. All bets are off in case of relegation, though, but that's unlikely.

Grow up ffs. Can’t help it if you don’t like differing opinions. So much shit talking at 10 paces on this site. Im normally very reserved but……….!

Fighting a losing battle in here mate, some very weird 'fans' in here who piss their pants at everything this club does. Just got to laugh at people like that, their personal lives but be a permanent state of misery and they come on here to project IMO
