There are definite similarities, but it didn't feel like we had to scramble back the whole length of the pitch all the time in those peak Poch years. The league was pretty different back then.

Plus he played much, much weaker cup teams, there was not as much twice-a-week action for his players.

There are differences. Poch usually always had the two midfielders sitting behind the ball, with the two CBs, so a block of four against counters, whereas Ange has the CBs and the 6, which is where we can get exposed.
 
I need to see Ange display some tactical nous. I need to see him setting up a team to take on the opposition structure and style of play.
I need to see him make a sub and think: “ah, that’s switched around play” rather than just changing players for the sake of a change.

I ain’t seeing any of this.

YOU said yourself Leicester was a MUST WIN. So we lose it (to a team who got walloped today by a team who WERE below us) , people aren't happy/maybe even panicking, and you think it must be a problem with their personal lives - not that maybe they're just really bothered about something they love, probably often making monetary and time sacrifices to watch the utter shit being served up by Ange and his merry men.

It's quite easy being a blind faith Ange supporter isn't it? You can call a game a MUST WIN and just move on like it never happened when we lose. You can ignore all the stats that every other manager has ever been judged by. You can never be wrong because you just keep doubling down regardless - watching on bemusingly as others "piss their pants".

Everton have now won 3 games in a row - without looking I assume we haven't done that since the beginning of last season - you know that patch you Ange lovers still cling onto as proof that he knows what the fuck he is doing.

Thats cos he doesn't know another way. It's taken him a long way in football, looks like he's found his limit. Still think we'll win a cup.
