I still think it's either about cups or about lack of any viable alternatives willing to inherit this mess mid season. But IF it's neither, then I'm inclined to think that Levy's clinging on to him as his next miracle worker a la Pochettino. It also aligns more or less perfectly with what some people here expect from Ange, so the notion of Levy thinking along similar lines isn't far fetched.

The obvious question is why. Why him, and not anybody else? Did Levy fall in love with him during that magical 10 match spell, and now refuse to let those fond memories go? That's the antithesis of how Levy usually operates. Is it Ange's captivating aura as this know-it-all ideologue who also happens to be very modest in his demands, in total contrast to Mourinho and Conte? A low maintanence manager is always welcome to any chairman, and Ange in particular certainly knows how to talk the talk, but I doubt that these would be enough to keep Levy calm after everything that has happened in the last couple of months. 1 point from 7 league matches, getting outplayed by relegation fodders in the process, dropping to relegation zone are all extremely difficult to swallow, no matter how you look at it.

Like I said, chances of him getting the boot after Liverpool or Villa are substantial. But if he somehow avoids it, and in fact starts the next season as well, what I outlined above based on Levy searching for another Pochettino might be a plausible explanation.
This is what I'm scared of. Those embarrassing clips of Levy trying to talk football with Mourinho in the Amazon series revealed how little he knows or understands about the game. Eminently possible he's just an Ange-inner and thinks he'll turn it round, half this idiot fanbase still seems to so why not Levy.

We're just going to have to sit back and see what happens in the next week. If we stay in both cups ( i know big if) then whats the point of getting rid of ange now. Just wait until the summer and go from there.

3 nil Everton against Leicester at half time

Spurs down to 16th

Those of you still clinging onto AngeBall

Have a look at yourselves in the mirror
Embararassing tbh. Leicester are crap but we made them look like barca. Always thought let’s see what they do in next game. Beating spurs isn’t a barometer of where they really are. Ange the so called super manager. What have his fan bois got to say now! Just accept mediocrity!

Leyton Orient Head Coach Richie Wellens wishes to retract a comment made in a post-match interview, following the O’s Sky Bet League One fixture against Stockport County on Saturday.

He said: “After today’s game, I was asked about the injuries within our squad and, without thinking, I made a stupid comment about Tottenham Hotspur.

“That comment was brought to my attention later in the evening and having watched my interview back I am deeply embarrassed and regret what I said.

“At Leyton Orient, we have a strong relationship with Tottenham Hotspur and it was never my intention to say anything that would jeopardise that. Their manager, Ange Postecoglou, is a world-class coach and I want to apologise for my comments and wish Spurs all the very best for the second half of the season.”

Leyton Orient Manager: I'm not Ange Postecoglou who keeps using it (injuries) as an execuse

Seems a bit stupid to disrespect a manager who leant you two players who effectively turned your season around.
Was gonna say that too...

But thinking about it, he has probably never even spoken directly to Ange, as I assume Ange doesn't actually have anything to do with loans...
He probably doesn't even know who he is!

...see? Ritchie Wellens doesn't have a clue who Ange is!!
Has already mistaken him for a World Class manager!

I’m sick to death of hearing about Angeball. You’d swear he’d come up with a revolutionary approach to sport like Dick Fosbury in the high jump. The utter delusion of the sizeable portion of our fanbase who think it is all going to come right with ‘Angeball’ once the injury crisis eases.

Angeball is a state of mind. It’s a lazy dereliction of duty to the basics, fundamentals, nitty gritty and hard graft of the game.

Is this the same Richie wellens who was a young gun Defensive midfielder in one of the old champ manager games but ultimately didn’t do much in real life?

World class? What a dickhead. He didn't make a comment about Tottenham Hotspur, he made it about Ange but that was his intention and his forced apology only highlights that. I hope some Championship clubs come in for Keeley and Donley as they are too good for League One already and especially for a manager who cunts off their parent club.

What an odd thing to say after a loss. Must be a closet gooner or desperate for attention like Vardy. Weird.

First he has a dig at him for his constant excuses regarding injuries and then he lays in the boot and calls him world class...
We have another rivaly coming up:)

After the last few weeks I cant see him being sacked even if he will lose all 3 games in the next 8 days.
I think the next deadline would be the el and even if we get knocked out then they will give him the rest of the season because then it will be just a few games left
Depends on the teams beneath us. If they keep on losing...
