For Ange to have any chance of remaining in charge we have to see more of what we saw today.

The most important thing is to win the games, not to play Angeball. If Ange is ready to moderate some of his ideas and be more pragmatic, he could turn it around. Clearly the players like him and run hard for him, if that can be channeled into a more solid style he has chance.
He won't learn, he won't change.

More pragmatic today, i truly have no idea why we can do this and then immediately revert back to that schoolboy Angeball.

If he makes it to the end of the season then fine. I think we've probably left it too late to make any worthwhile change this season now anyway and today takes the pressure off about relegation. But i dont really want to contemplate him being here next season. I dont see him ever delivering consistancy. He is clearly upgradeable so if you can do that on the pitch or in the dugout then you do it.

If he gets next season he will 100% be back on his bullshit.

This is only happening because he's under pressure.

Some immature infantile Ange Fans here after the odd win. It really tells me to not bother argue with them. It's not going anywhere. It's like the little kids in the playground.

Today changes absolutely NOTHING:
1- Why are we in this position?
2- Why did the manager say we have enough squad to deal with whatever injuries we get. Now when he can't deal with it, it is an excuse?
3- go WIN A CUP you 2nd season winner then you imbecile brag and talk. The way it looks, it is mediocrity unless we get rid of this fraud.

Yes, I am not happy with the win. Not because we won, but because I see the team and I see where we are and feel sad, I cannot enjoy games. If we had a competent manager, we would have been still within touching distance of top 4 with the injuries (although I doubt we have those injuries with a competent manager). The world knows we have a fraud manager, but we all know it is hanging the hope we do win a cup (with his Aussie mate up stares, I think we are even stuck with them).

Where was this energy last week? the week before, and before?????? I know I am talking to kids, but it is a message to my fellow fans to not bother arguing with kids.

I want to see more of what we have witnessed today, disciplined, pragmatic and professional.

We start picking up more results like this and it will go a LONG way to giving more belief in the manager.

I feel it may be another false dawn but like I said in the other thread, I am going to give the benefit of the doubt and say he has learned his lesson, finally.

Let’s see how it goes from here on out, consistency is key for me, he has a LOT to prove still.

True. It was good management today and more as you say pragmatic.

I do get why he wants to play the way he does though. Start of the season when we had our full squad we played some great stuff, creating tons of chances and we should have had more wins early on with the way we played. When the injuries piled up we then didn’t have the gas in the tank to play high press high intensity.

I still think the fundamental issue is the forward line. He is trying to play similar to Klopp but you need Mane, Fermino, young Salah and midfielders like Henderson who have non stop energy. It’s why we tried to buy Gallagher and Neto.

I think Ange’s pure system can work but only if you have a much better suited set of players. For now he either adapts like he did today or gets sacked. He might be coming to the understanding that Tottenham isn’t Man City and he won’t be getting a tailor made team for his dream style of play.

Whether we like it or not - given we are sort of safe in the league now - i guess Levy won't sack him till end of season.

Just really hope they will have replacement day after season ends if there are no radical improvement.

I think today and the threat of relegation vanishing changes his position from under threat to may as well be given the end of the season but I'd seriously hope the club are lining up his replacement now to get them in right at the start of the summer window.

Maybe the summer window and especially the disasterclass of this current window has really rammed home the idea that Levy will never, ever provide the best of the best and he has to adapt or die.

Better late than never, we'll see.

Or…is Levy providing the bare minimum to ensure that Ange doesn’t get us relegated so he can do better with the next coach? Normally, underwhelming though they are, the Jan transfers have come in fairly early compared to the olden days of Redknapp et al?

I mean he has adapted before. Against City he seems to be always switching things up, it’s against most other teams with the high press, very direct blow away the opposition style he doesn’t. I do think it works, Klopp has shown a variation of that to work but it needs pretty suitable and elite players. Ange would have had those players relative to the league at Celtic, he won’t have them here.

I would guess he has learned more as a manager in a year or so here than he has in about 10 elsewhere. You’re right it’s adapt or die for Ange. However if we ever want to be a City or Bayern Munich or even Liverpool or Woolwich you can’t do that as a club, you have to give the tools to managers so they don’t need to adapt, so they can play an elite way unhindered.

Ange In or Ange Out, every post match is full to the brim of “told you so” posts. Mainly digging out the other side and not critiquing the manager or the match.

I’m no fan of either approach, but there’s a world of difference between the positive poster celebrating the win to the negative poster giving it large after a defeat. The second one being the most cunty behaviour I see on here. We are all pissed off after a defeat and all we see is posters almost celebrating their own opinion being validated. It’s says a lot about the personality of those posters.

Give me the infantile Ange fans any day of the week.
