I'd be fine with that if we're not relegation threatened which now we're probably not. Preferable to at least say we gave him 2 whole seasons and gives us a wider choice of managers come May. But we have to change then and have to get the new bloke in within a couple of weeks of the season finishing, no more lurching from target to target.

We were still very open despite using a double pivot, leaving vast spaces in the center for them to exploit. The number of occasions where at least half of the team were in scramble mode, running back at full speed to catch whoever they can get their hands on to was quite high. Relying on hail mary plays in the form of last second blocks and goal line clearances is not my favourite way of defending but whatever, it didn't cost us today.
I'm curious to see how he will treat this second leg in terms of team selection and gameplan. Within a given match scoreline doesn't make much of a difference to him in terms of how he wants his team to play, as evidenced by Brighton and Chelsea debacles this season. Whether he will operate differently in a slightly different context remains to be seen.
