Forget the defeat last night. I mean what did people really expect?

Liverpool, top of the PL, at home, with a nearly full strength squad, blah blah blah. With our team of yesteryear as in Kane, Alli, a younger Son et al, we would have struggled.

For me, I just don't see the faith in Postecoglou or how Levy or anyone can see this guy as having what we need.

Onto Sunday, where we might have a bit more chance but with only 3 days I think it will be more pain.

Next season must be a new man.

Ange may be out of his depth but you can't blame him for this loss. Look at the team he put out, mostly kids , novices and 3rd string talent. Spurs fans have this things where they think a Spurs player puts a Spurs jersey they suddenly become this elite talent and demand to win every game.

The reality is that of the side that Ange fielded, only Kulusevski and Son are what you could consider elite Premier League talent. So you have two elite talents playing against 11 elite talents, and a further 7 or 8 elite talents on the bench. The difference in class is enormous and Spurs were never ever ever ever going to win this game with the players they had available. They were not even a chance. Obviously we all hoped for a miracle but from about the 5th minute it was obvious the difference in class was too enormous to sustain a 1 goal lead over 90 minutes at Anfield.

People need to get to grips with reality. Injuries have totally fucked Spurs right now, and until they get their elite Premier League talent back (VDV, Vicario, Romero, Maddison, Solanke) consistency, high ladder position and trophies is a bit too much for ask for.

The problem is those kids that you put part of the blame on are actually the only ones who are performing. You can't say that we put out 3rd string talent, the midfield and forwards are all 'senior' players

He’s fucking useless, last night was an abomination. Anyone defending last night is insane. We put up zero fight in a semi final. It’s like I’m in the twilight zone, why are we even discussing him? He is an appalling manager. Look at his record, we are dreadful. I’m sick of wasting my life following this shambles.

The major worry is that the players who are left are either not ready or past their best. Soon its going to be time for another rebuild. I'm also concerned that we will no longer be persuing top quality 'ready' players. Basically we're drifting back to a top 6 at best side (if we're lucky)- Newcastle and Villa overtaking us in that spot on a regular basis.

The problem is, even with all those back, we're not getting any results out of it, and the injury trajectory looks like it keeps on going. The manager is at fault for keeping it this way. Look at Richarlison / injured for a long time / then right back at it in the start up eleven, then getting injured again. The same with Romero, VdV, ect. The squad managment needs to be better.
Imo, it was a suicide making those changes in the back line, why did Gray start at RB at fucking Anfield, a position he's not being played into? He was clearly uncomfortable most of the game.

I'm not Ange out before this game thinking perhaps he could work something to carry us over the final and who knows?

But now I feel we should make a decision in the coming hours if we wish to keep the FA Cup. Because we aren't beating Villa with such useless setup and negative outcome from today.

Might as well make it quick and painless.

There isn’t an alternative at this stage, it would be Mason or Wells or worse a rushed appointment like Allegri who wouldn’t fit and we would look half arsed again. Changing manager you need to be looking at someone like Iraola and he won’t be available till summer if he is at all.

I think you need to listen to your own words, mate. Let's not pretend like Son, Richarlison (albeit injured), Deki, Bentancur, Bissouma, Davies, Danso are novices, kids, or 3rd string. We're shot to bits with injuries but we did not bring the INTENT to win, and a lot of that falls on Ange's head - especially given how much he waffles on about his attacking principles.

We're not a side set up to defend a lead - whether by man management, tactics or formation. And on the random occasions Ange tries to set us up that way, we look fucking woeful because the players haven't been coached enough to do it. So why try it in one of the most important games of the season?

The only way this geezer is winning a trophy is through a mixture of massive fortune, top sides not showing up, and having his squad back. The chances of all three happening is very low indeed.

Can't disagree with that. Maybe it's me. When I decided on something, I'll move things immediately so that's the best option made based on the decision. For us, we may have a manager bounce to create another short bite of relief or boost to last us further into the cup competitions. From then on, who knows? At the moment I only know Ange is too stubborn to play less of Kulu and possibly Son. And these are stupid decisions he keep making.

5 minutes reply: "I don't really assess other teams..."
That's quite telling in itself...
Maybe a bit of opponent assessment and planning may have given us the vaguest sniff of a chance tonight!!!
Put it in the context he was asked.
The journo asked him how good a team is Liverpool? And he replied he doesn’t assess other teams. Meaning he’s not giving an opinion on whether they’re good or shite.
Doesn’t mean he doesn’t study them and their tactics for when they come up against them.
I’m all for calling Ange out when it’s warranted but that was just playing semantics to suit your narrative.

At this point I’m fed up of the excuses.

Yes we have loads of injuries, but the volume of injuries is insane and beyond coincidental. Seems indicative of naive training

Also the performances are worse than the sum of our parts. It’s hard to identify any patterns of play.

Honestly injuries notwithstanding, it bugs me our players, being professional, couldn't even play like one in terms of their positions, awareness and fitness. Maybe there really isn't any tactical coaching, but right now it seems our players' abilities are being coached out.

It's frankly alarming for me.

Which maybe comes from having most of the starting 11 / experienced players out of such a big occasion against the best in the world? Maybe just maybe...?

Or nahh mate big Ange is shit?

Seriously common why are so many delusional?
No . Just you and one or two others.
All of the starting 11 bar Gray, Spence and Kinski are full Internationals. They looked like they wouldn’t get a game for Hornchurch FC on the evidence of last night. Totally clueless and that’s on your mate Ange

🎵 The opposition remix has dropped 🎵

We get the balllllll
In two passes we’re through you
Coz of Postecoglou
Everyone knows he’s wrong

It’s Big Ange balllll
He’s our Aussie hero
Proper fucked your team, yo
Worse than Christian Gross

Every other team goes….
Keep Ange forever, we beg

Sadly Levy is not going to sack him until the end of the season if at all. He really believes injuries have derailed the season so I have a horrible sinking feeling he gets next season.
Only a fool would believe next season will be much better

More of the squad will be hacked off with it. So having a slightly better squad won’t make much difference.

And we’ll have the Ange excess injuries again

That's about as fair as you can get.

There are many who would, with very good cause, suggest another manager should be brought in to maximize our EL chances but the "fair go" in me agrees with you that the bloke who got us there should be given the chance to see it out.

THe "fair go" in me also wishes someone had gone and knee capped 11 of Liverpool's squad before tonights game and asked Carragher and Redknapp how they expect them to go but then the Scum might win the league so FUCK MY LIFE
Which injured players are coming into replace Bissouma, Bentancur and Sarr who consistently aren’t good enough for the top half level of the Prem in this Ange system (whatever the fuck that is)

Are you suggesting that Wilson, Johnson and Werner are going to make any difference? Or that we’re actually missing Dragusin who is an appalling lump of a player. Have you watched Udogie since his injury? he’s toilet.

in reality, we’re only missing Romero, VDV, Solanke, Vicario and probably Maddison (who the manager doesn’t rate/get on with) .
