Looks to me like the 'older' more established players don't give a fuck.

Thats really shameful. A 18 y old player has to remind the senior pros to thank the supporters. I dont think I have ever seen something like that before. Kulu 1 or 2 weeks ago went straight into the tunnel too.
We really need to get rid of a few older heads and get some new blood in with the right mentality.
And a new Manager and chairman of course:)
Just 4 more months of whatever this is...

Blamed the manager for last night as well.

I have no idea why people are giving the players a pass for this shit though.

Edit: We lose on Sunday, I'm done with fighting Ange's corner on this forum.
I haven't been an Ange outter. But I am afraid I can't afford the team to be out of another cup competition... Too bad this game is too fucking close to yesterday's. Ange will take charge for one more game and I really dreading for that...

I despise these seniors showing their emotions AFTER the final whistle. Put in some tackles during the game if you are pissed. Or at least fucking run. Bunch of nuts.

He is but are the interim options less clueless? Can any manager in the world do better with the situation available to range right now? Weve got our selves in bad states sacking managers early before.
The senior players are throwing Ange under the bus.

He's been relying on kids for weeks now and it is getting worse.

The damage being done to morale is unsustainable.

It's over.

A good leathering at Villa on Sunday is not going to help anyone.

Ange has to go.

Levy needs to be next.

recognising the bean counters count the beans above all else, The tens of millions of pounds they are chucking by keeping this guy is highly questionable.

Less money = less investment and it’s all going to spiral downwards. He has to on an economic basis as well as a sporting basis.
Good point. There is no logical reason to keep him. The question is is even an interim more likely to win the Europa, climb some places in the league so more money and help with the youngsters development? The answer to all 3 is yes. I think its almost impossible to do any worse.

Every day he stays the more damage he is doing to the clubs already poor reputation, to the fitness and confidence of the players, to the development of youngsters (Gray the prime example but Moore always off the right) , to the finances if we finish 14th/15th. He's a complete liability.

Tbh I'm resigned to losing that game and probably we need a fast start at home against UTD or things will get toxic.

If we do lose at Villa, I can't defend the manager anymore. If last night had been less pathetic and we'd laid a glove on them then I'd feel different maybe but that was the first time I've seen the players look like they don't want to play the same style of football. The fear in their refusal to get forward and try to hurt Liverpool was exactly like late stage Conte and Jose.

Fucking horrible prick.

It's because you can't coach and manage this team, and lose every week. Just resign.
I don't share your antipathy but I don't warm to Ange either. Maybe he's cool in private, but the public optics on this guy are shocking in several ways.

With him still here flailing about and Levy behind the wheel with zero ambition on the football side I'm close to disengaging completely, tbh.

It amazes me how anyone is still behind Ange, even if just 1% behind him. The most clueless, tactically inept and dreadful manager I have ever come across at this football club. How he's still in a job is beyond me.

This is my worry too. Irrespective of my own views on Ange I felt he had the players on side and that they were running hard for him. I'm worried in the last week or two he's 'lost the dressing room'.

Just an opinion do think levy and henchman are doing a recon on Ange atm. Been on team bus and well noticed at matches on tv. Ange is on very thin ice.
Ange fell through the thin ice by half time away at Everton.

The poor fucker has now drowned, been dragged back through the hole in the ice, turned on his side, had his stomach pumped of pond water and is receiving life support on the river bank.

He's dead.

We're dragging a corpse up the A38 to Villa Park are we?

The senior players are throwing Ange under the bus.

Isn't that the exact same problem that Conte threw his toys out the pram about against Southampton?

The players feel safe enough in their cushy jobs that they can afford to throw the manager under the bus.

He's been relying on kids for weeks now and it is getting worse.

Kids and the likes of Kulusevski, Son, and Davies.

The damage being done to morale is unsustainable.

Nah, morale changes with one result in football. The morale after Brentford was probably really high, they were just scared of Anfield and let it show in their actions. Not a senior character with the fight in them last night, except maybe Richy and he went off injured.

Most likely. Barring a miracle on the weekend.

Levy needs to be next.

We all know that won't happen no matter how bad it gets.
