This is my worry too. Irrespective of my own views on Ange I felt he had the players on side and that they were running hard for him. I'm worried in the last week or two he's 'lost the dressing room'.

Lost them? or they think they know better?

I don't think they didn't play for the manager against Brentford but I can see a world where they thought they got a result by not playing exactly the way he asks them to and they start to feel they know better. And that's what led them to put in a scared performance at Anfield. They never believed they could go there and really hurt Liverpool. They were already too focused on their own weaknesses and Liverpool's strengths.

The mere fact that he was out doing the press rounds today says he's going to be in charge for Sunday.

Not sure what else a guy needs to do to get the sack. Getting done by Liverpool away is one thing, but if you're getting rolled over by Leicester, Ipswich and the like that's another. He's just getting out-managed by everyone. Our good results against City and Utd came at a time both were in different stages of freefall.

Always think it's the endgame when player leaks start to emerge. We haven't seen too much of that but one or two stories are starting to circulate.

Only we completely abandoned those principles last night and limped out with a load of weak excuses about being tired. It was fucking pathetic and Ange needs to stop saying this shit about "the players are giving everything". They gave fuck all last night. Zero, zilch, nada. They should refund the traveling fans their tickets for that. One of the worst performances by a set of Spurs players in a big game that I can remember.

I was determined to stick by this until i saw that. I said I'd give it the week and the Villa game before deciding what to say about Ange but if they really do want him to stay like so many of those players have claimed, some of the injured ones need to miraculously make themselves available and the ones who have been battling through need to battle harder than they did last night.
Rich I'm just quoting them, I don't even know what they are talking about. Ange picked the team the set-up and the ethos, not sure what the hell he's on about.

Please, just don't say anymore. He could just thank the journalist for asking and that's that. This is like a broken record. And it's just undermining those players who are playing now. I wouldn't give a fuck if I'm one of those. I know he keeps crediting the players who have played giving their all. But those who have eyes knew the play have been shit. The more he keeps emphasising the injury crisis, the more he's acknowledging the current playing ones are shit.

The senior players are throwing Ange under the bus.

He's been relying on kids for weeks now and it is getting worse.

The damage being done to morale is unsustainable.

It's over.

A good leathering at Villa on Sunday is not going to help anyone.

Ange has to go.

Levy needs to be next.
He hasn't had enough time with the kids to coach the talent out of them yet.

So fucking bored of this schtick

Yeah I mean there comes a point where 3 of your academy products score in the Europa league and show real bite and determination yet you play a broken Richie, and a knackered Kulu/Son as your front 3.

The injuries are a symptom but he’s just pouring bleach onto an open flesh wound.

Fresh players DO exist, whether you think they’re at the level or not.

His tenure will hopefully serve as a lesson moving forward by reducing the appeal of the infinite monkey theorem , also known as the Klopp/Arteta/SAF argument, based on the notion that with enough time any manager will turn into gold. Managers don't deserve infinite amount of support in the form of money, time and personnel until they can be judged. It's totally alright, in fact quite astute, to search for possible red flags from the get go. It's fine to sack a manager early in his tenure (< 1 year) if there are clear indicators that he's not up to the task. The scarecrow that is "managerial-merry-go-round" is by itself not a valid reason to keep an incompetent manager in charge for years. So on and so forth. That's the only positive I can come up with from this experiment.

I wouldn't count on it though, as for whatever reason football fans are prone to get emotionally attached to managers in a way that they do not get attached to players.
