I agree. It's not just fans though, and that's the problem. There are presenters, pundits, ex players, ex coaches, current coaches, social media "personalities" etc absolutely everywhere that pump out this narrative non-stop.
Harry Redknapp a few weeks ago said give him this AND next season.
Glen Hoddle is arguing now that linesmen and VAR are to blame for our hamstring issues. Not suicideball.
There's so many of them that are constantly saying the age old cliche "you have to give him time"
The presenters and pundits want him to be given time because our games make great tv for them and there’s always plenty for them to talk bollocks endlessly about when the game is 5-3 or whatever.
I think this is why the continually wheel out certain ex-players and managers who push the narrative that Ange should be given more time. Always liked Dawson but he is in the pay of the club as an ambassador or similar, so is hardly going to slag off Ange. The same with Mabbutt, although in fairness he was on Talkshite this morning saying the senior players needed to step up, but stopped short of criticising Ange.
Harry Redknapp was also wheeled out for Alan Brazil this morning saying Ange should be given time. Harry never really digs out a manager though and didn’t again today. The closest he came was saying Ange cut a very isolated figure in the technical area in games and was surprised he doesn’t have more interaction with his coaches during a game.
I would love to see Hoddle say what he actually thinks because I’m convinced he thinks Ange is a clown who is totally out of his depth.
