“Project” seems such a levy ism when it comes to football. Projects has a start and end date with a clear objective. No such thing exists with Spurs.

Football’s only project is to win the next game. That’s it, I think. 🤔

Think of the thousands of clubs at every level of British football, from the parks to the senior professionals, every single one of them want to win the next game. Except Levy who wants to project manage us.

It’s insanity.

Winning is all that ever counted. And winning football is entertaining football before any of us get into the delusional position of thinking you need a rabona every other game or it’s all shit. It really isn’t like that.

Some of the best games ever had tactical nous and commitment and very little flair. That is competitive sport.
It's all down using the space on the field. Teams that create advantage are fun to watch no matter what their system in. To your point, there's winning and losing, winning is more entertaining.

Furthermore, in no world should your only defensive midfielder be out on the right back: in fact, he should NEVER move from a 10m radius in the middle of the pitch in front of the centre backs. How often do you see Rodri or Busquets vacate the middle? This is schoolboy stuff.
the middle of the pitch has always been, and always will be the most important area of a football pitch. its the fucking heart of the game FFS! this idiot neglects it like ive never seen before...all to have defenders go and try to be attacking playmakers LOOOOOL its the most retarded set up youll ever see. it stinks of someone trying to be some sort of genuis and try and reinvent the game, but they are nothing but a fucking clown whos embarrassing themselves. thats ange postecoglou for you! some wanna be savant whos the biggest joke in football.

he wants to be spoken about in the same way as cruyff and pep, no mate! you're some scruffy fat cunt called ange postecoglou, you should be a pallbearer not a football manager.

Frankfurt and Lyon not to be sniffed at either.

Nothing sounds crazy at this juncture. We've just seen 190 minutes of bloody dreadful cup footy. Any organised team with pace up front will cause us problems.

Fact is that returning players will take a couple of games if not weeks to get fully up to speed. It's not the cure-all that some proclaim it to be.

Only reason I didn't account for Frankfurt is losing Marmoush is a big gaping hole to fill. They'll be less prolific up front.

Lyon are a bit more of an enigma team for me.

We had 4 senior players on the pitch - Son, Kulu, Porro, Bentencaur. The first 3 are knackered and Bentencaur's legs are gone.

To quote Ange, "they are doing the best they can". 2 days rest since playing Liverpool away. Zero time to prepare for the game. Zero time to train with Danso and Tel. Gray, Bergvall, Moore are nowhere near premier league quality yet.

Is there is any other top team in the world that has to play an 18 year old with barely 1000 minutes of professional football as their central midfielder? A center back who has never trained with the squad? An 18 year old center back, playing out of his natural position?

Get a fucking grip!

This season is a write off. We know that. Maybe if players are back we can progress in Europa.

Super Bowl about to kick off. Whose your team Bazali Bazali

I'm Eagles tonight
I’m eagles as the mrs sister lives in Philly!! My best mate lives in Kansas but he slaughters me supporting Tottenham so he can get it right up him.

Just got in from the game and fucking knackered but I think I’ll stay up and watch this.

Is this not an assistant coaching issue as well?

No it's a manager issue but not for the reason Klaus keeps misrepresenting.

Postecoglou's Spurs were the best pressing team in Europe in the for 4 months of the season. High turnovers were streets ahead of any other team.

The problem is that injuries have caused a massive turnover in the squad and limited rotation so you have second 11 players now trying to emulate first team training in actual matches every three days with no rest and no time for the training you need as a unit. This is exacerbated by having new players added in the window but with zero time available for training and familiarisation with the triggers and automations.

TLDR - Postecoglou's press is one of the best in Europe but injuries have fucked it.

Why is this the manager's fault? Because if you dont have time to drill the press properly into the players you've have to bring in to replace the 10 injured players then you shouldn't try to press when it involved taking such high risks.

Hence Porro leaping out hideously late, vacating his are and exposing new player Danso to a complete wtf moment.

So can't blame assistants because they literally don't have the time to train the press into this cobbled together group because they play every 3 days.

So the manager should have called the press off - or at least stopped the suicidal shit Porro does each and every fucking game.

I can’t believe that’s the score. It’s over already! A decent end to a shit day!!
ITS NOT OVER - HAVE YOU LEARNED NOTHING FROM SPURS 😡 :D

Mate, the Eagles players pregame looked so fucking focused and determined. I was worried they were TOO hyped. But they have crushed this game. Just once I want to see a Spurs side do this. I've been lucky that my Aussie Rules side have been successful but I want it with Spurs so much.
