So now the loyal season ticket holders who pay their money to attend games are partly at fault.

It would be a lot cheaper and more convenient to meet for a drink and a chat in this new concept , I think they are called public houses or pubs for short .

I wouldn’t criticise the stay at home fans for either putting their boot through the tv or sitting there quietly fuming , or maybe having a chat and a drink with their family . None of this debacle is on the fans however they choose to support the club . We have all been betrayed by ENIC , some maybe more vocal , a few might be conned be ENIC’s lies. I won’t count those so blindly loyal they are clearly on the payroll.
I find the ‘stay at home fans’ an insulting term. What about, ‘ can’t afford a season ticket fans’……’ live 200 miles away fans’…..’ can’t get a ticket because of tourists fans’…….’disabled fans’….
Stop using the term ‘stay at home fans’.

Fans are now going to and watching games and expecting to lose . Jamie Carragher before the Brentford game expected us to let in a minimum of 3 goals and it’s a shock that we didn’t , Paul merson at half time against Chelsea when we were 2 -1 up , “I expect Chelsea to win comfortably “ We are underdogs at home against the bigger teams . This hasn’t been the case for many many years but that’s what this manager has done to us. I can’t wait for him to leave and start trying to be a serious club again , if that’s even possible .

Spoken like someone with zero knowledge of the game.

Well done.

Are you Australian perchance?
Go on I'll bite to ur snobby post claiming i have zero knowledge of the game as u obviously are an expert...are u Jose mourino? A bbc pundit on match of the day? A sports scientist? Manager of the dog and duck Sunday pub team? Jeff stelling? Or just ignorant of differing opinions with zero knowledge of grammer...

Players get injuries sprinting all the time. More sprints mean more chance this happens.

Weird to think that's not a thing.
I get what ur saying and might be right but teams like Liverpool must sprint alot and don't suffer injuries which in my opinion shows players physically better condition and able to play at higher level...not trying to argue with anyone just want team to be best can be

Liverpool manage their sprints a lot better. We sprint more often and all over the pitch, there's plenty of stats out there proving that. I think it's calmed down a bit so perhaps he's learning.

Break down for me how that stat proves anything?

Why for instance do Newcastle players not get more hammy injuries due to their in possession high intensity sprint % probably averaging them out to a similar amount of overall sprints as us?

Snobby! I like that you know your betters!

Tally ho old chap!

Lucky, resting more when in possession or another reason. You pick.

Compared to other teams like bournmouth, who have had many more injuries than them - if this graph had any direct correlation to sprints = injuries, then newcastle would be inundated with them.

The luck argument just blows any kind of correlation out of the water, too.

Ultimately, this graph is not indicative of anything when it comes to injuries and using it as such is just murkying the water.

High intensity sprinting all the time increases the chances of injury. We could go a full season without injuries next year but this would still be true.

There's a chart on Opta Stats that showed each time's average line (yards up field) and duration they held the press. Liverpool's was exactly in the center of the chart and Spurs were way out of sync with every other team in the upper right. Liverpool's pressing intensity is less and the amount of ground they cover is less. Spurs often will press just to be pressing, in situations where the other team has the advantage and multiple outlets.

yes this is true, but it is part and parcel of the game - its why clubs employ people to help mitigate this because most full backs, wingers, and forwards are required to do this as part of the game.

Increasing the chances of, and causing arent the same thing - below is the list of most sprints done by players in OCT - 95% of those players have not suffered any HIS related injuries this season. If there was a DIRECT correlation id expect 80% of them to be fucked at this stage in the season - but they arent - which means there are other factors at play.

We struggled with one of the best teams in the world. That team happens be struggling with consistency in the middle of a very expensive rebuild but when they are at it, they can still smash Newcastle at St James Park.

- They are not one of the best teams in the world. They are currently just about the 4th best team in the premier league. They finished 22nd in the CL table and then lost a playoff without Madrid getting out of third gear. They recently lost 5-1 to a bang out of form Woolwich team who struggle to score a goal at all.

- They beat Newcastle at the Etihad. Newcastle suck away vs big 6 sides.

I don’t know why some of our fans feel the need to make things up about City to feel better about us. They did it when we beat them 4-0 as well and we heard ‘premier league champions’ a million times even though it was clear they were not that team anymore in anything but name. Does it not ring hollow to you, or do you genuinely think it means something when you type it?

Agree - there were a lot of encouraging factors last night - and our defensive performance in the second half was one of them.

So meaningless, man. We've had so many "encouraging halves" under Ange. Just very few 90 minute performances. It's so easy to play well for one half at home when you're down 1-0 so chasing a game and have very little to lose. It's just another home defeat which leaves us once again a single point ahead of Everton in 16th with Fulham & Chelsea away after Bournemouth incoming. Going to end a season hoping we can finish ahead of mid table dirge spearheaded by the minds of Moyes & Potter FFS.

But yeah, at least the kids did alright for a half of footy, how "encouraging", get the clackers out...

Agree with tactics wrong but what is ridiculous amounts of sprinting? They are professional football players and supposedly athletes not lorry drivers sitting behind a wheel all day...if ridiculous amounts of sprinting was the cause then why is whole team not injured?...Ange worst manager in many years?...what is a good manager then as last won think 2008 or 09...so in my opinion everyone since no better than Ange as surely not now judging managers on league position?...should be on what win...
and Ange is an amateur, tactically clueless and has no business attempting to manage in EPL.
