I actually want him to stay until the end of the season,.....just hear me out though...
1. We're not going to get relegated
2. We'll have a better chance of getting the right manager in over the summer than mid season.
3. Ange will never be able to sit in a press conference again, boasting that he ALWAYS wins something in his second season!
Issue is are we able to prize "the new guy" out of wherever he is before the end of the season?
Maybe just a little, I’ll give you that - as you know, hyperbole is exaggeration for effect …
I do however believe that this episode will be much harder to bounce back from than the usual fiasco because recruitment is inevitably tarnished by the circus that is going on. Which decent players would seriously consider joining us as part of a sensible career development path? Apparently we don’t coach players, we play them out of position, and we don’t have any obvious tactics to speak of.
And what’s more, if you are a spurs fan in 2025, then I’m sure you go to work and socialise with fans of other teams. There’s only one thing worse than have the piss taken out of you by your colleagues for a defeat, and that’s when they stop taking the piss because it’s become old hat and they’re actually secretly starting to feel a little sorry for the state of your team.
If anyone thinks a new face in the dug out is going to have us challenging for honours then I have to say that I admire their optimism.

If that happens Ange should leave before he is sacked. The simply fact is that if Spurs can't beat AZ in something of such importance it's clearly never going to work.
The players are at the top of the football, young or not. They are good enough to play in the PL, they don't need experience or anything else to beat a team such as AZ. Individual to individual player the gap in ability is wide.
It's the same thing over and over. It's a team that just can't win the games when they really mean something. Spurs may get through, they sure as fuck should but what does that mean?
Another dismal away performance. Another home leg where none really show up until theyre down two or even three early and by then it's over and another all most, when the games over no pressure come back happens.
If you're going to win things you need to at least show you know how to win games. I'm not seeing it after that. I don't know what goes on leading into important matches but whatever it is it ain't working.

He had 8 days to prepare for the game yesterday and look how unprepared we looked!
And his whole demeanor in the media pre-game made it clear he knew he couldn’t get the the team in shape to win. His body language and mood was telling us to expect that kind of shit performance.
How is that an acceptable thing to know your players will go out and play like cunts even though fans are spending hundreds to fly across the continent and support?

Fonseca just banned for nine months for an ‘attempted headbutt’ on a referee. He’s only recently joined Lyon and it was his fifth game in charge. Banned from the touchline and changing rooms until November. Wonder if they’ll get rid of him.
But, maybe we could send Ange there. Ange never does any training or coaching so that could be left to Fonseca. Then Ange could do his “motivational speaking’ (lol) to the players in the dressing room and stand with his hands in his pockets on the touchline during games.
Surely a win win for us and Lyon. Make it happen Daniel.

But I know 100% it’s not Ange’s fault we just have to trust him and give him next season. Maybe the season after that too. Honour the contract we gave him. Seems the right thing to do.

With no European football and playing one game a week we can aim to get in the top 6 for sure.

I’m struggling to care about the second leg now, what yesterday showed is we will crumble in the away ties regardless. I can see us squeaking through next Thursday, getting a narrow win in the QF home leg and then absolutely falling apart in the second because when it gets tough there is zero leadership or tactical plan.

No thanks, having a manager with tactical acumen is the only way forwards. Having a manager who can improve players with coaching is a necessity.

Our secret weapons (the apparent primary reason we lose so many matches without them) are supposedly fit again, certainly fit enough to travel and be in the squad after missing 4 months and he persists with a kid playing out of position. Unless it’s just for show and they are way off being fit still.
