This has to end now. I hate seeing people lose their jobs in any walk of life but this can’t go on. The tie is definitely in the balance and I still think we will go through but we shouldn’t be losing that game and definitely not in the manner we did!
The players are good enough but the system isn’t. That only falls on one guy. I think he’ll be here to the summer at the very least though so we could be in for a tough period supporting this club. We are used to it but this for me is the worst it’s been.

Never felt as numb as I do now supporting this club. I thought after Liverpool and Villa we had hit our lowest but last night was another level.
Guy I played with in Asia back in the day, his son's now an academy coach at a League Two outfit. Great kid, full of ideas, plenty potential to make it to the big time. Anyway, when they last came round my house a few weeks back, he told me when they wanted to reward the younguns after a hard week's training, they have a 15min oppo and the deal is Ozzie rules...in honour of our beloved head honcho. Basically, Keeps become No 9s, FB aren't allowed to defend in their own half, 2 touches max, got 20 secs to score or ball given back to the oppo etc. The objective is absolute carnage and goals goals goals, whilst the lads are having a right bubble. Imagine that, Ange is being mugged off by kids at a League Two club.

My pal's son also said Ange ain't a serious manager and that he'd be expelled from his academy gig in a jiffy if he even so much as considered using his system for real.

It was as they say “ mighty “ .

And FWIW ; I couldn’t agree more .

I’d still stand by my statements (whilst there are obviously far more important things to concern us all in these times ) .

Thanks again for your concern and interest in my well-being. To reiterate I feel better now than I did previously; I hope this clears things up .

You seem to be an insightful person.
We've all done it John. Glad it's cleared up pal.

Fed up talking about the bloke. Has no flexibility dealing with adversity. Limited tactics and downfall is playing Johnson who shouldn't be in first 11. Hes an impact sub and nothing else. Will be a miracle if we win europa league under him. Even if we do want him sacked. Cant bear another season of disorganised mess. That's what it is under him...a disorganised mess. His coaching crew need sacking as well. Mason pay off as well.
You'll see, when he goes to the bench, that he's definitely not an impacto sub. Then he'll probably left on a free after two unsuccessful loans.

It’s really the coaching staff including Ange who are letting us down. The players are not being coached properly.
The manager and coaches aren’t doing well enough.

But a side full of internationals, costing tens of millions each, should be able to pass to one another. Should be able to play like they want to win.

None of our players deserve to avoid the fiercest of criticism.

The way that I see it is that in the stadium, the wrath of the fans seems to be directed more at Levy than Ange. Where I sit, there are a lot more tourists, so I don't know if there are more anti-Ange comments in the South Stand.
As you say, it'll be interesting to see how it pans out.
It was a mistake for him to play down Champion's League last season (when he said it was more important to him that the players embrace the system). If he had gotten it last season it would be like a big debit on his account against what has happened this season. Plus, had Spurs gotten in last season it might have meant more money to spend on a deeper squad. As it is, Postecoglou doesn't have a success to point to unless he pulls something out at the finish.

I think whatever the circumstances, what's absolute will be his excuses. He will have all ways to spin the next situation as being the ideal over the current one.

But while I will be glad last season had we gotten into the CL, I'm relieved we didn't now. We are probably not even Europa level, playing CL this season would have been dismantled and laughed at no end.

I don't know. There's a chance a deeper squad would have meant fewer injuries.

Agreed, it just goes to show how lacking in leadership and brains they are. Someone said they are trying to get Ange out, that is very possible despite what they say in the media. All the fans who want him go e straight away, I bet many if not all slammed Levy for sacking Mourinho a week before a final, do they really want Ange out whilst we are still in the Europa?

I’m going to be honest, I think we’ve seen since Brentford the players aren’t really playing front foot, attacking football anymore.

They are doing some kind of weird, incoherent unplanned mess. I think of their own volition as well.

Exactly. It just looks like generic mid table team going through the motions.

Bare minimum effort and some stat padding. One point of the match the other night I saw Bergvall yelling at BJ to make a run and he seemed to slowly meander towards some defenders then offside before looking back at him.

Not as if this is anything new with players these days and even at Spurs with different faces.

I wonder what is going through Mason's mind at the moment. I doubt he is mates with many of this lot so when he inevitably gets the interim gig I wonder how he'll handle it.

I must admit I have found it really difficult to totally dismiss Ange because of our injury curse. I don’t think there is another team in the Prem that could have survived losing so many centrebacks. The AZ game was the final straw for me however. We looked nervous and reluctant to go forward. Come on lads if you are get knocked out go out on your sword in true Ange style 5-6.
Then we can sack him.

I think a lot of people feel the same. The players threw him under the bus with that performance but it seemed like he knew they were going to.

The disconnect between what he wants them to do and what they want to do is too far now. Like you said if I was still seeing them try to play attacking football and have some kind of spine, I’d still have some degree of hope we can turn it around vs Alkmaar but we just saw the most pathetic performance from a Spurs team you will ever see.

What a disaster this has been, still can't believe he's here after that Galatasaray/Ipswich week. Let alone all the other embarrassing results and performances since.

We have gained nothing by keeping him in the job.

The apathy is huge around where I sit. Anyone who isn’t on their phone taking photos for 90 minutes is just pretty fed up. There isn’t even much anti levy rhetoric. I get the feeling it will turn on the manager more soon. Probably as soon as Sunday should we lose. I’m taking one of my kids and if it turns nasty I’ll probably have to leave early.
