Listen, we always want the best for our club, some of us would rather live in utter delusion and block out the noise just because it makes us feel better and gives us a sense of buying into something, supporting a football club is an escape from your everyday life and would rather hope for a good outcome to justify why you support the club.

Ange is very convincing I'll give him that, no wonder he manages to persuade players to come to the club on the phone, he talks a very good game, he's an incredibly charming character which is very easy to buy into, I think a lot of our fans have convinced themselves that this guy was the one because of his own pure sheer belief in himself, he's definitely convinced Levy and the players even if the evidence doesn't support it on the pitch, he leaves you feeling that there's good times round the corner...

But there just isn't, there never was and there never will be...the good times only happened in his first 10 matches then it's all been downhill since then, come on let's be real...we all wanted it to work but deep deep down we saw the signs coming for a while and we were banking on sheer hope and nothing else that he would turn it around.
Glad you have come around my friend.

What I don't get is how comes the players are coming out every week and saying good things about the manager yet on the pitch they're not even running for him anymore and stopped doing the basics, it's almost as if he's convinced the players that it's okay to lose as long as they are playing the right way because of his philosophy and if they keep doing the right things the results will start to bear fruit in the end, he's brainwashed our players just like he has brainwashed our fans, it's easy to see how because he's just so convincing but the guy's a complete charlatan.
Two possibilities, it seems:

The players have lost interest in the league season, being mired near the bottom with no hope of achieving anything domestically, and are jogging it.

The players have been told to jog it, because there's nothing left to play for except Ange's job in Europa, and they're more than happy to let their bodies recuperate as such, having been ground into dust for 2 full seasons by our current playstyle

Fairs.

I'll be honest he's absolutely horrible, I think many fans including myself was guilty of sipping the Ange cool aid because of his bravado and the way he talks but honestly if we played the way he carries himself in press conferences then we'd win the league but truthfully it's just a pile of wank.

Let's be real. we're not going anywhere near that Europa and likely to get done vs Frankfurt, when we get knocked out of Europe which effectively ends our season it's gonna hit like a ton of bricks...A lot of fans are banking on Europa out of pure hopium because it's a distraction tool for how shit we've been in the league.

Happy to admit I was wrong, massively and TBH I was being a bit of a cunt on here and trolling people the Ange outers for a few weeks, so I apologise to folk on here, maybe I should create an apology form for myself!

Love you all x

It's an interesting question. We don't hear much from technical directors and directors of football operations as managers are the public face of the team. But people like Johan Lange are responsible for managing the manager and insuring what he is doing aligns with the team's long term direction and gets results. What I'm suggesting is that Postecoglou's bosses need to be having hard conversations that may require adjusting tactics and staff. At this point everyone's priority should be saving the project.

Lange is technically meant to be over Ange in the hierarchy. But they could just as well be equal. But even if Lange is above Ange then it gets trickier when you factor in Munn. Munn is above Lange and he and Ange are friends/friendly from their time running in the same circles of pro football in Australia. It must be hard for Lange to reign Ange in if Ange can just sidestep him and go to Munn to have him back off.

Not saying that that's what has happened. But speculating.

In all seriousness we probably are an attractive club for managers.

Turn up, enjoy the facilities, visit a fancy hotel, win fuck all, and leave with a massive severance pay.
We are definitely a more attractive option than fans think.

The trophy drought is well known. We are essentially a free hit. Go here and lose and no one cares. But if you manage to break the drought you are a club legend and your rep as a manager instantly improves.

Tottenham’s stance over sacking Ange Postecoglou

BR Football understands that Daniel Levy has informed Ange Postecgolou that securing European football for next term is seen as a minimum requirement this season.

Daniel Levy has met with Postecoglou in recent weeks to inform the Spurs manager of the club’s position over what they expect from him in the final stages of the season.

Tottenham are aware that sacking Ange Postecoglou now would not speed up their chances of landing one of their top managerial targets, sources have told Graeme Bailey – chief correspondent at TBR Football.

TBR Football has previously revealed that Thoms Frank and Andoni Iraola are two contenders for the Tottenham job should the club eventually decide to move on from Postecoglou.

Frank’s £9 million release clause is putting Tottenham off, meanwhile, Marco Silva’s £8 million release clause is deterring them from moving for him too, with the Portugese coach also being linked with the job at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The North London club’s progress in the Europa League is another factor keeping the 59-year-old in the job for the immediate term future.

TBR Football can reveal that Andoni Ireola’s people are making it known that he does have an interest in taking the Tottenham job.

Bournemouth had been hoping to renew Iraola’s contract, however, the 42-year-old has so far put off talks with the Cherries.

Real Madrid have been impressed by his work, but TBR Football has been told the Spaniard won’t be considered as a replacement for Carlo Ancelotti, as it is seen as too early for him.

We are not winning the Europa with Ange, so Levy might as well sack him now. At least a manger bounce could still win us more games in the league for a higher position end of season than the current shit show where we could basically lose to everyone.

Iraola or Frank would be great.
I think Frank can bring some consistency and he knows how to manage his players and can contend for top 4 again.
Iraola looks like he can be the next great manager if everything clicks and be a culture changer. But that is a big IF under Levy.
I think that people are going to be turned off of Frank because of his image of mainly being hard to beat and building a solid defence.

But he can play more on the front foot like they did in the Championship. And tbh we do have a attacking line that could suit his quick counter style as well.

He needs to be sacked regardless of the EL results.
Even if we win it by a miracle...
I can't stand another season of him...I suspect a few others might agree with me..
