He needs to be sacked regardless of the EL results.
Even if we win it by a miracle...
I can't stand another season of him...I suspect a few others might agree with me..

On one hand it seems crazy to get rid of the manager that, despite everything else, gets you your first real trophy in decades and a place in the CL next season, but I just can't see a future with him any more.

He's managed literally HUNDREDS of matches. Hundreds in the PL too. Won the FA cup with fucking Pompey.

He was always very happy to put forward a wide boy cockney image but he knows a ton more about tactics than his "run around a bit" implies. He's very switched on about which players to use and in what formation that suits them best.

Sacking him was yet another stupid thing Levy did. You only do that if youve got someone better lined up and boy we most certainly DID NOT.

Coming back to him as in interim, he'd probably be very good. We've got a bunch of good players, just like with Ramos. They were falling apart, just like now. Harry even got us to a final that season having started with 2pts from 24.

Its been an obvious solution, an interim, since Novmeber. Obvious.
I didn't say he knew nothing about tactics, it just wasn't what he excelled at. He gets the best out of individuals, but he rarely won the battle of minds with elite coaches, most of our best results under him are stories of individual brilliance more than tactical superiority.
I did go on to say i think hes your go-to guy over Terzic as interim if we go that route because weve nowhere near the time to work a tactical system to get anything out of Europa under a system manager, we need a manager who plays the best players in their best positions with a brief they can understand and get behind. I think 'Arry can defo achieve that for a couple of months.

i think frank would be a bit meh. iraola would be the most exciting but if not him then silva.

For me, personally, of the options that have been discussed:

Silva
Iraola
Xavi
Frank

Ultimately I'd accept all of them, though I'd be skeptical if Frank doesn't play 4 at the back. When we aren't completely fucking up our transfers we have enough talent and quality not to need to sit on the back foot most games.

Levy is probably calculating that if he pulls the trigger now and we crash out of the EL people will say, “Ange would have won it,” pinning the blame squarely on him which would probably turn more toxic for him than he has ever seen considering there is still a sizeable chunk of supporters who still believe in Ange.

The truth is. there’s a high percentage chance we’re getting knocked out with Ange at the helm anyway. This isn’t like sacking Mourinho before a final—Levy’s going to take the flak regardless here imo so bringing in someone new now, even just for the bounce, at least gives us a fighting chance of salvaging something from this season and winning the EL.

The club’s in absolute disarray. I never thought it would unravel quite this badly tbh.

It's not just 3 points if it's a chance to qualify for the CL is it!
top 4 wouldve been a stroll in the park for us once wed won 4-0 at Villa. Sod the Citeh match - which the team was well up for and could well have won that, depsite what online comments say.

Ange absolutely blew it with

0-3 Fulham
1-1 Spam
0-4 Barcodes
and a week before

1-2 Wolves home.

Thats 11 pts we lost that we would defo not have done if Ange had bothered to set us up like he did v Citeh.

Top 4? Should have walked it after that honeymoon period in top spot

Tottenham’s stance over sacking Ange Postecoglou

BR Football understands that Daniel Levy has informed Ange Postecgolou that securing European football for next term is seen as a minimum requirement this season.

Daniel Levy has met with Postecoglou in recent weeks to inform the Spurs manager of the club’s position over what they expect from him in the final stages of the season.

Tottenham are aware that sacking Ange Postecoglou now would not speed up their chances of landing one of their top managerial targets, sources have told Graeme Bailey – chief correspondent at TBR Football.

TBR Football has previously revealed that Thoms Frank and Andoni Iraola are two contenders for the Tottenham job should the club eventually decide to move on from Postecoglou.

Frank’s £9 million release clause is putting Tottenham off, meanwhile, Marco Silva’s £8 million release clause is deterring them from moving for him too, with the Portugese coach also being linked with the job at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The North London club’s progress in the Europa League is another factor keeping the 59-year-old in the job for the immediate term future.

TBR Football can reveal that Andoni Ireola’s people are making it known that he does have an interest in taking the Tottenham job.

Bournemouth had been hoping to renew Iraola’s contract, however, the 42-year-old has so far put off talks with the Cherries.

Real Madrid have been impressed by his work, but TBR Football has been told the Spaniard won’t be considered as a replacement for Carlo Ancelotti, as it is seen as too early for him.

9million or 8million release clauses putting Spurs off from getting a decent manager. That’s chump change when you consider we spunked £60m on Richy and only slightly less on Johnson

There is really nothing good to come out of the rest of the season if we stick with ange through the Europa.

Best case is we win Europa and then ange is back and we’ll be back in this position next season but without the lucky cup win.

Levy doesn’t have the guts to sack ange if we win the Europa. If he did, ange would have been sacked by now because there is no evidence to suggest we are playing well enough to win the Europa.

We are 90% fucked anyway as long as Levy is choosing managers.

Good post but who could come in atm to improve us, Ange will see the season out no doubt.
We've actually wasted two seasons with this appointment, shocking tbh.

10m is fucking chump change in this game for the right player or manager. If I was Levy looking at that release clause for Silva I'd think it was a bargain because there's no way they could negotiate it higher.

Blowing 60m on Johnson and quibbling over 10m for the person who you trust to run the entire actual footballing portion? 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂

If true and levy has laid down gauntlet saying qualifying for europe is minimum requirement then great. Levy wont like altercations with fans from manager. Never seen that ever as a Tottenham fan. Sherwood allowing a fan to sit in dugout made us look a joke. Big summer ahead. I actually think whoever comes in give johnson another season to see if new manager can develop him. If not sell him in 2026.
