Yes it seems by appointing the peasant Ange, who came from the arsehole of football irrelevancy for 26 years, it seems Levy has managed to shift the clubs expectations from a consistent top 4 club to a run of the mill lower half club, without even a wimper of protest from the fanbase.

Ange is a pysops. Wouldnt surprise me if he’s still here next season. The shift of expectations has worked as intended.

But it’ll be business as usual when it comes to ticket prices, promotional events etc

We are forfeiting EL with this guy still here.

Classic Levy. Dont want to pay money for sacking Ange, dont want to pay money for bringing in replacement now. And dont see that its just probably only some fraction of cost of us not being in Europe next year. Not even mentioning money we will lose because of low position in the league.

He got us to within a whisker of the league cup final - only going out to the best team in the league.

He's got us into the QF's of the Europa League. So let's back him to win it. We have our best players back fit, so we have a very good chance of winning it.

Thats closer than Woolwich, City, Chelsea, United. No shame in losing away at Anfield.

Yeah great mate, we still weren't "within a whisker" were we? We lost 4-1 on aggregate.

And you're essentially saying he deserves to have a shot at the EL based on qualifying from an absolutely hilariously easy league group of fixtures and then knocking out Az Alkmaar but somehow making it tricky. Just fuck off man, its so beyond trolling at this point.

The only competition this man has done close to well in all season was the league cup, that's it. And if you're hanging your season on that shite then fuck me we're lost.

I get the impression that most fans on here want us to fail so that they can be proved right in their pessimism.

Fact of the matter is, Ange knows how to build a winning team - he has done it time and time again. When we have had our best players available, we have a win percentage of 75% (that's league challenging form).

The club did a major overhaul of its medical department - and made the situation worse. But sometimes you have to take a step backwards to move forwards. Let's hope that this summer the medical issues at the club get resolved and we can finally keep our players fit. We cannot put the blame entirely on Ange's system - our perma-injured players has plagued us for years (Lamela, Lo Celso, Sessegnon, Rose, Dele, Wanyama, Dier for instance).

Take Konate, Van Dyke, Allison and Salah out of Liverpool and see how their season would have gone.

You are embarrassing. People who are Ange out have already been proven right about their pessimism. We are 14th in the premier league and a point away from 16th.

Where the fuck are you getting this stat from? The like 3 or 4 games we've played? We have a nearly full strength team now and are shit. We lost to Ipswich with a nearly full strength team and lost to Palace.

Let's hope in the summer we get rid of the useless fucking manager who has provided us the worst season in many fans memory. We were shit towards the end of last season too (loss after loss after loss) despite no injuries, and we're absolutely diabolical now. Started the season off with a draw to a crap Leicester and will finish it off terribly too.

I bet they wouldn't be a point ahead of fucking Everton.

We already are failing. What is it about that that is hard to grasp? It is far past the point of wishing ill results upon the team; we are already getting ill results.

Where have you plucked that 75% figure from by the way? Is that the win % of the team when we have absolutely no injuries whatsoever? Because I'm sorry but that's a fucking ridiculous metric to cherry pick, there isn't a team in the premier league that goes an entire season without a single injury to a first team player and you have to manage your squad to mitigate that, that's without mentioning Ange has probably had a fully fit squad for a total of about 15 games so it's hardly a huge sample size to draw from.

Name one manager we've had in the past 25 years who had back to back seasons with more than half of their first team out at one time due to injury. How he is still being defended on injury crises that he has caused is just fucking hilarious at this point, you would think the medical dept were in there using hammers and saws to fix injuries the way they seem to cop 100% of the blame for it despite the fact he is the common denominator, we had largely the same medical team under Conte and I can never remember being down to youth players for important matches because there were simply no first teamers fit, and this was a guy who made the first team run until they puked in pre-season. It's a shit excuse and it stinks.

Games where Vicario, Porro, Romero, VDV, Udogie and Son are available. We have a 75% win rate.

Our CBs are key to our system.
Van De Ven alone has missed 46 games in total in the last 2 seasons due to injury and the other 5 players have had periods injured when he has been fit, so again I have to assume we are talking about a tiny sample size that massively flatters Ange.
We've had 2 wins from 5 against the bottom 3 this season, 3 from 7 vs the bottom 5. Does he need all those players fit to beat Ipswich and Leciester at home?

In the end people can argue back and forth but the the future of Ange has not changed. When the EL finishes so does he. Winning it wont make a difference.

What winning the EL would do is make a pleasant parting of the ways for all concerned. Spurs get an overall good year believe it or not, and Ange leaves with some credit in the bank, believe it or not.

So until that EL finish it really is a case of it is what it is in my opinion. There's nothing that I've seen or read to make me change my mind on that.

It is a travesty how Ange (and Levy) have reduced some of our supporters to talking like were supporters of West Ham or some similar club. The complacency

Oh who cares about league position, we haven't got the players for the CL anyway, we can hang our hats on a League Cup quarterfinal win and a Europa quarterfinal... If the manager should win Europa and we finish 16th we'd best bring him back for more...

Just sad and a damnable crying shame to hear this.

We should expect to be in the CL places every year and competing for the league trophy, not wanking off to the possibility of slipping into a second rate cup against the run of a miserable season

Save your time arguing with these Ange fans. The first 10 games mirage will always be in the heart of their argument and whatever stats they can come up with.

One can have a constructive argument when, at the minimum, you get out with some perspective. But when things are so clear and on display week in/week out and some delusional people keep trying to convince the sane fans that there is somethings it's a hopeless scenario.

Going to sack him for winning a major euro trophy and making CL?!! Almost as stupid as sacking Poch six months after making CL final
