The squads that Jose and conte had were never good enough to challenge for the tiltle , Conte getting 4th was a huge achievement but he needed much better players . Kane and Son got us out of a lot of trouble . This manager has a decent squad ( not great ) but we should not be in the position we are now even with injuries . Ange ball is a myth , we rarely create chances these days and have had a few games recently where we don’t have more than 1 shot on target in 90 minutes . What is most damming about this manager is that most games these days we are lucky to not be 2/3 goals down after the first 10 minutes and we are underdogs going into pretty much every game we play at home .

The best way to look at something is by looking at what is successful.

Personally I think almost every elite winning team has both a tough and respected manager and captain. Nobody questions why either are in the role they're in.

Spurs could start there.

Another good morning to look forward to the exit of Ange. Come on.

If not today, I think just gotta accept he will be here till Frankfurt game 😑

Everyone needs to accept he’s getting the Europa league run however long it ends up being.

Tbh, I think he’ll see out the season, we’re clear of danger and at that point managers who would take over will see out their seasons anyway.

It’s sad, because I think with a prem level manager we could win the Europa league, but I think Levy sticks with him till he bombs us out of it.

This Iraola shiny object isn’t the messiah! Bournemouth have been bang average for weeks now but we still think this guy will take us back up the league. Fucking nonsense. He might prove to be a really good manager and would do a better job job than Ange but he’s a massive gamble as well.

Levy's behaving like an immature parent throwing a tantrum. He sees the fans as spoilt children - "With Postecoglou, I gave them what they asked for and they're still not grateful, so they can lump it" , seems to be his attitude.

Keeping Postecoglou in place at this point in time is his way of getting retribution for the Levy chants.

To use another analogy, he's doing a Pontius Pilate - simultaneously overseeing the fall of our football club, while at the same time washing his hands of any responsibility for it. He blames the fans. He hates the fans.

I get the impression that most fans on here want us to fail so that they can be proved right in their pessimism.

Fact of the matter is, Ange knows how to build a winning team - he has done it time and time again. When we have had our best players available, we have a win percentage of 75% (that's league challenging form).

The club did a major overhaul of its medical department - and made the situation worse. But sometimes you have to take a step backwards to move forwards. Let's hope that this summer the medical issues at the club get resolved and we can finally keep our players fit. We cannot put the blame entirely on Ange's system - our perma-injured players has plagued us for years (Lamela, Lo Celso, Sessegnon, Rose, Dele, Wanyama, Dier for instance).

Take Konate, Van Dyke, Allison and Salah out of Liverpool and see how their season would have gone.
Games where Vicario, Porro, Romero, VDV, Udogie and Son are available. We have a 75% win rate.

Our CBs are key to our system.

If you have a system that falls pathetically and totally into pieces after one player is out, it is not a system. It is a dream.

He got us to within a whisker of the league cup final - only going out to the best team in the league.

He's got us into the QF's of the Europa League. So let's back him to win it. We have our best players back fit, so we have a very good chance of winning it.
We're out of every cup competition bar the EL (where we're clinging on by our fingertips) and we're 14th= in the league. In reality, we're 16th in the league.

14th=

What will it take to get you to see that he has already failed?

Let's ask a control question here -

How many out of our recent managers would have managed to:
- get kicked out of FA cup in fourth round (2nd for us!)
- get into Carabao semifinals
- and into EL last 8
... if they were allowed to take a fall and totally shit the pants in Premier League?!?

Anyone I would assume.

Absurd how standards have dropped, Poch had to deliver top 4, do well in CHAMPIONS League (not Europe) and then play cups as well.

It just shows that when some of our managers have been Premier League then current one is League Two and even that is a stretch.

There isnt a manager out there that isnt a gamble. I'm sure everyone would love Xabi Alonso but cock all chance of that. Even the biggest names come with question marks because of the circumstances they have to work with here

All you can do is look back at what sort of worked with Levy and ENIC upto a point and that was Redknapp and Poch, 2 managers that had prem experience with smaller clubs, had them punching above their weight and played good football. There are no guarantees it will work again but when we try to be billy big bollocks with Ramos, Mourinho and Conte it doesnt work, acting too clever with AVB, Sherwood and Postecoglou it doesnt work. On the plus side whoever we appoint will be a big improvement.
