Was he trying to deflect by saying that those mistakes today were unusual?

Fuck me half of our goals come from self inflicted issues. Always punching the ball into danger, always heading it out back into dangerous areas, throw ins sloppily taken that give the other team a gift of possession they maximise on, a lack of tracking back with a walk or a jog, a poor touch that let's them in. It's astonishing how often this lot do it to themselves.

He must see it. Does he? Is he just saying that to whimper out the back door and not take any more heat.

3 full days until the biggest European game our team has had since the CL. This cup is so winnable its sad really that out lot have no spine. I think this is my least favourite Tottenham team I've ever supported on my 41 years on this planet. Shame on everyone at the club from top to bottom for making me and I'm certain most others feel that way.
He should be moved on before Thursday. I don't care if we win that game or the whole thing abs hindsight comes back to bite me in the arse, someone else should have a crack at it even if it's an interim boss.

Our club is in a lot of trouble. We are nowhere near competing on any serious front. Top 8 next year a huge achievement for whoever inherits this mess. Just wow

We see so many managers and ex players say that the PL is all about fine margins and games won on those small percentages. If managers and coaches don’t focus on the basics and the small details like these then teams aren’t going to do well. They’re a badly managed and coached group of players. It was obvious a year ago with all the defending set piece nonsense costing us goals every week and it’s continued to fester month after month. It’s either idiocy, laziness or both.

Individual errors are mostly driven by general issues caused by this fraud and his staff.

Once again nobody to grab punched ball around 16 meter after set piece.

Once again nobody to prevent cross, and nobody to track runners into penalty box. Central defenders caught out of position and nowhere near the ball or opponents.

Once again central midfielder caught in the middle of the pitch with almost no safe option to pass.

Romero fuckup - yeah that was on him. But other goals? I have seen before large part of the pieces that led to them.

If you don’t concede goals, you don’t lose matches. That’s the starting point for any successful team.

When we set up constantly leaving us outnumbered on the counter (like multiple times yesterday and across the season) then you are giving up gift-wrapped chances.

And then Ange says it’s individual mistakes. Yes, they made mistakes but the system exposes them. Constantly. Throw in a lack of belief and effort and it’s no wonder we are in for 20+ losses.

When it’s fine margins, you don’t make it easy for your opponent. Yet this fucking bluffer still hasn’t worked that out.

There is clearly something going on at the club that is far bigger than we have been told.

We have had some insights, with Romero calling out the medical team, and we now are told somebody leaking lineups and tactics.

I suspect there is a lot more going on behind the scenes this season and this summer I'm pretty sure we will get some bombshell news. Looks like some sort of sabotage.
This little skit you do ceased being funny a while back.

Just stop.

I would have cut him a bit of slack if and I know it's a big if but we had drawn a lot of games so at least not accumulate the horrendous tally of losses even if we were mid table .No team can expect to achieve anything losing so easily as us .

This just sounds like deflection away from the fundamental issue: the complete and utter lack of leadership, investment (finance and mentality) and courage at every level of our football club. Sabotage... it's not a soap opera, mate (although it's definitely a tragic comedy).

The supporters, general staff and a handful of players are the only ones who have a shred of dignity in this mess.
To paraphrase Paul O'Keefe: Ange is rationalizing (to the point of making up) outside saboteurs and other factors that impact the season in order to not have to face the real big issue: That he and his football deserves a lot of the blame.

Reading Roy Keane’s comments about the Man U players coming out in interviews after defeats giving soundbytes makes them sound like dishonest players (saying learned from mistakes, hurting after defeat) made me instantly think of us. Ours are the same. They give these interviews but does them losing really hurt them that much?
Spence more or less said during the Rio Ferdinand podcast that as long as the players play according to Ange's instructions, there are no consequences for losing games. They only get punished/consequences if they "break formation".

I know player ratings on here are very subjective but last season 7 of our regular players were over 6.5 average. This season it is one - Djed Spence at 6.52.

Even last season, nearly all of our highest rated players were defenders despite generally being considered to be an easy team to score against.

It is an abject failure of ownership that this situation has been allowed to persist so long.

Watching the game yesterday Wolves would box our players in, cutting off any angles to get out or pass, they were working together in pairs or more.

Our players are constantly isolated with so much individual work to get through
