We get lots of players in the oppositions half and then they stand there stagnant. The players pass it and then offer nothing, no movement to offer a return pass. If attack is your only game plan, you should at least be good at it

Frankly I'll be astonished if we can muster any kind of coherent display in Thursday......just can't see it happening.
Winning is habitual and you can't just play awful week in week out and then target a specific match to play well in......just doesn't work like that.

Have attacking players always making minimal of 3 touches to allow opposition in comfortable defensive positions
Pass the ball back very often, have more possession and then claim to have been "controlling the game" afterwards
Have midfielder dribble on own half without having defenders behind him to mop up potential danger

that point really makes me wanna smoke, and i dont smoke. It's such an easy tweak to stop that from happening, the number 6 doesn't need to push on also if your inverted full backs are pushed up, whether wide or inside.
Bentancur just needs to sit in-between VDV and Romero.
If there's a transition moment then it's effectively a back 3 which is gonna have an easier job holding up the attack until one of the full backs drop back in to make it a 4.
It somewhat worked at the start of last season due to VDV but this season with him missing most of the games it's a fruitless exercise

Like I said, we can be as critical of our players as we like, but I find it fucking hard to judge them with this clownshoe in charge. People say we have an average to below average squad.
