And over the moon as I am about being through, my pragmatism does kick in from time to time. Winning by a penalty with no goals in open play is lucky rather than good imo..I think we're still toothless and fairly disorganised..beating Dildo Baggins is a very real hope and the cup's definitely in reach but the thought of him staying is too much to bear...

It's bitter sweet, for sure.

I'm super excited for the players, who have had to play through a complete mess of a non-system.

Lambs to the slaughter, every game.

Been totally unfair on them, yet they have endured to come through and make this SF, with a good chance of getting through to the final.

For me, on one side there' s the players and the fans, on the other it's Ange Island.

He's never accepted us and made that completely clear in that Man City game and reinforced through the disgusting ear-cupping stunt (and a lot of snide quips in-between).

There is no way back for him, for me.

Disgusting individual.

If your personality stinks this much, you better make sure you're shit hot at what you do.

And I'm not going to do cartwheels because a manager does a couple rudimentary things in a football game that he has refused to do for the vast majority of his tenure, which would have greatly reduced the pain he has inflicted on the fans.

I don't like him.

I don't want him here.

He must go.

Maybe they had 1 chance more than us but they were also very lucky their GK was even on the pitch so the result was more than fair IMO. Especially over 2 legs.

It's amazing that over the two legs the front three produced so little.
A better team would have buried Frankfurt in the 2nd half.
We ended up hanging on and hoofing the ball away - because our forwards are not dangerous.

Under the circumstances it was a good gritty performances. But against a better team they would have scored.

If we'd played better teams we wouldn't be in the semi-final.

This is the easiest cup run in history and that's great news for us. We were favourites at the start of the season for a reason: we have the best squad. It is only Ange's ineptitude that puts this win in jeopardy.

There is something so fitting about the likelihood of us actually finishing 17th and winning the Europa League 😅

For years, probably over a decade we've had fans saying they'd rather finish 17th and win a cup than finish top 4. Imagine if it actually happens!

Well this just goes to show that finishing top 4 is a much more enjoyable season! Watching us lose over 20 games is horrific but if we win a cup at the end of it then we can debate if it was all worth it

What rubs me is if we do win it he'll, no doubt, shamelessly try and sell it as him masterminding the whole thing, when it's been a ropey shambles our players have had to battle through.

And he'll be super smug and snide about the fans whenever he talks about it in the future.

Really would be a mixed victory.

We could still be here and in an even better chance of winning it - in my view - if we'd have sacked him and put Mason/Wells in charge.

We would have convincingly beaten that feeble EF team, last night, for a start.

Yet dropping deep and giving up possession is exactly the pragmatic approach that everyone has been asking Ange to do and what they are praising him and the team for last night.

It would have worked a lot better if we had dynamic fast forwards.

You should be able to hit teams in the break - if they are chasing at the end of game.
As well as we played defensively - we gave up some good chances.
