Management Ange Postecoglou

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Basically, Frankfurt beat themselves. We didn't create much.

Eh?

We beat them on XG convincingly over the two legs. And, defensively, smashed them. The first leg saw Frankfurt kept to their lowest XG in over a year and they haven't been beaten at home for over a year.

Every single metric used in football to assess performance indicates that we were well worthy winners. Really really odd that people want to shit on the performance just because they don't like the manager. Better to claim the manager played no part in a good win rather than falsely claim it wasn't a good win at all.

I'd just like to support a team where the focus was on what happens on the pitch and the players. We've had two years where it's been a boring reality show, "All About Ange". Tired of the ego, tired of the anger, tired of the arrogance. That doesn't change if he wins a trophy.

This is a fair assessment I think. When you become the story you really need Conte/Mourinho levels of success to back it up. And neither of those managers were given any leeway by Club and fans tbh.

The irony of a bunch of cunts sitting on their asses relentlessly posting the same mind numbing shit in exceptionally unintelligent ways.... about another grown man being a cunt because of how few games of football he has won is seemingly lost on those who come on here countless times a day to do it.

It's a remarkable window into human behaviour.
It's incredible isn't it?

There's been an argument on here about a parade IF we manage to win this cup.

Ironic really, seeing as we've had a hate parade on here for weeks now.

What is stopping you from focusing on what happens on the pitch?

Every manager we have will have the same media responsibilities and the same volume of quotes. As a result they’ll get the same amount of love or hate from fans depending on the results.

Guess it’s a personal choice to engage with it or not. The older generations don’t have social media and don’t give a shit what Ange said in the press conference

You're very much free to interpret the match how you want. I watched both matches and know for a fact we were mostly poor with chance creation, and were wide open in defense. Better oppo would have put us away.

I praised the win and Ange's pragmatic moves in the match thread. I've treated this fairly.

We all watched the end of last game where the Frankfurt RB missed three very take-able chances in a row. That was a very fortunate escape. Unsurprisingly, we also got completely pumped by Wolves this past week. The team is not playing all that well- we scraped by this tie, barely.

I understand your point, but if you follow the team you end up seeing in the media what the focus is. Since Postecoglou it is has been on him and not so much about football. I think that's his preference. If things start to quiet down he will stir them back up again.

It's really great having you back on the forum now that Ange has won a game.

Welcome back happy clapper.

Um - I haven't been off the forum buddy. Posted a bit less while I was in San Sébastien - something I posted on the forum while bemoaning the Wolves loss.

If you want to get snarky at least get your fucking facts straight. You do have a problem with simple facts. One of your less endearing traits.

Happy we’re through obviously, and the players worked hard, but like some wasn’t that ecstatic with the performance especially second half. After Maddison went off we really struggled on the ball. Didn’t create anything that I can think of and just generally struggled to hold onto possession, against a pretty average side in all honesty.

We should be better than this on the ball with the players we have. Being more pragmatic shouldn’t mean hacking the ball clear to no one. Play properly still Just more organised. Most other days we’d lose that game with a similar performance.

I think asking if/why he's still here at this stage deserves a foul vote.

Levy will not do it after win and a pretty dogged performance.
It would be PR suicide.

The reaction of the players and coaches at the final whistle didn't tell me they all hated Ange.

I want him gone but I simply don't see the point this late in the season. Mason won't do anything.

We just have to hope theres a cup win and an amicable parting of ways.

Think he just answers questions tbh.

The shit he’s done by making a point of reacting to fans, that’s where I have an issue with him. Hes entitled to react but no other manager does and it does make it into his own little personal battle
