It's obvious Madders and Ange have had a clash. Micky sending mixed messages in the presser. You can see the players pissed after every game and it must be the fury with Ange's management.
Beautifully written...ChatGPT?It’s difficult to address this without going into a much larger rant about the lack of critical thinking skills the vast majority of people possess these days and the huge damage that’s causing to society, but ignoring that and keeping on topic, let’s just say that this line of thought is really, really, mind-numbingly dumb.
Let’s apply some logic: So basically the players have gotten together and decided they’ll just play how they like. They’re even doing their own thing in training, so basically Ange and the other coaches have just accepted this or have been bullied into silence whilst Madders and Romero lead all the drills.
Except there’s zero indication of any friction on the sideline during the match, nor a single inkling that the gameplan is in any way materially different from what the coaching team drew up.
For almost the entirety of the first half before the penalty the high line and various patterns of play we’ve seen all season remain, but conveniently the players must have decided to stick with that. Even second half when a goal up, the counter press and pressing on short goal kicks is often still in effect, with Udogie especially pressing their RB aggressively and VDV trying to close down on the halfway line, but again the players presumably decided not to abandon any of that because… that wouldn’t fit the narrative.
When the penalty was awarded Tel has the ball before Ange starts gesturing forcefully to give it to Dom, but they ignore him? Oh wait, no they don’t.
Ange makes two defensive subs during the match, despite apparently wanting the players to play balls-to-the-wall gung-ho Angeball.
Then at the end of the match the coaching team and all the players embrace jubilantly, Ange is sharing long hugs with the players, no tension at all, no awkwardness whatsoever mere minutes after they’ve completely ignored his instructions for the entire match and the week leading up to it.
The first people Vicario runs to celebrate with are all the coaches, who actually had zero to do with the win because the players just ignored them. Why does he make a beeline for them and not the players who actually concocted the entire plan and ignored the coaches? We’ll never know.
Then Ange makes a point in his press conference and interviews about how the players have never wavered in what he’s asked them to do, minutes after they’ve completely done the exact opposite. Similarly, Vic and others give interviews saying how they believe in the manager and are behind him, yet the exact opposite is supposedly true. I guess it’s all a big CONSPIRACY oooooooh.
Like I said, just mind-numbingly stupid the second you apply an ounce of critical thought and consider the inconsistency after inconsistency in people’s behaviour that would have to apply for this “theory” to hold water.

I think all the eggs are in the EL basket now, would not be surprised if we didn't win another game in the league this season.Beautifully written...ChatGPT?
Thanks for the lecture, Professor. But my post never said it was definitely happening at Spurs. I'm all for getting a spanking in writing, especially when delivered in such an eloquent and (relatively) respectful manner, but maybe don't transform my words to begin with.
Yes, there sure were a few signs on Thursday night that the squad is still behind the manager, following his plan & instructions, that there's still a certain level of camaraderie between them all. Which is admirable considering we've lost 20 odd games across all comps, that we're one of the worst sides in the PL and would get relegated if Ipswich/Leicester/Saints weren't so dreadful, that our system is almost universally mocked, that it took us ET to beat Tamworth etc etc. Fair play to Ange & the lads, they're better men than I.
I'm fully aware it's gonna be difficult, seen how mind-numbingly stupid I seem to be (dry humour...not bitter), but I'm gonna try and apply some of that logic or critical thinking you speak of. Maybe, just maybe that change in approach/tactics even attitude we saw on Thursday was the result of an intervention (not mutiny) by the players? Or maybe it was a group effort as in Ange + coaches + players sat down to discuss how to possibly improve our fortunes? Maybe they've realised - after nearly 18 months of utter dross - that we didn't have the magic formula after all, that the way we play probably needed tweaking somewhat, ditto for upping our effort & commitment levels. Or maybe it was all instigated by Ange?
Anyway, fuck it...whoever was behind it, it worked. We didn't play well, but we played hard & sensibly. There was togetherness. We won. Got through. Seems like a happy place again, they love each other. Now let's see if it was a one-night deal or if it stands the test of time...starting on MNF vs Forest.
Never gets old
Limited technical ability? Hahahaha. You win the golden boot with limited technical ability? Hahaha. Limited compared to what?A frail, weak footballer with very limited technical ability on the ball, bar his shooting prowess. Golden boot / assists outcomes from yesteryear has little bearing on the likelihood of him adding anything under a new manager. He’s finished.
The current system doesn’t help and exposes his lack of fight and ability, but a new system won’t make make much difference. Look forward to clapping him off at our last home game, hope he gets a 15 min cameo and a goal but move on.
Players that can receive the ball, keep it, change direction and pass the ball forward.Limited technical ability? Hahahaha. You win the golden boot with limited technical ability? Hahaha. Limited compared to what?
So he made as many assists as he did without passing the ball forward? Have you watched our games or do you just use a very selective memory?Players that can receive the ball, keep it, change direction and pass the ball forward.
One dimensional. Was stellar don’t get me wrong, the Kane combo was superb but cry baby is finito

What stings me is wankers like yourself who use a win like this to parade how brilliant this manager (who insults the club and squares up to its fans) rather than just celebrating the win. You're so bitter inside at how stupid he's made you look all season that you need to use any scrap of success to lash back out.
We have been god awful and embarrassing - this competition provides a crumb of hope and you just want to wave the Ange flag about. I'm glad you have me on ignore, previously I had to deal with shit like being tagged in a league game because I don't rate him (we later went on to lose the next one to ipswich i think) and being abused because I laughed at you saying we could beat any team in the world on our day.
Another newbie troll!Players that can receive the ball, keep it, change direction and pass the ball forward.
