Management Ange Postecoglou

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Feels like everyone in this thread has altzhimers disease.

The same comments over and over in such a way as if it were the first time they'd said it, not the 648th

All the flaws we have seen the last two years under Ange, the amount of injuries, how incredibly open we are, the lack of flexibility more often than not etc, are they suddenly going to disappear next season if we manage to win the Europa League? Fantastic if he's able to win us that but it really changes nothing regarding those things.
It’s the size of the failure in the league that leaves no room for a third season, if we were in the lower part of the top half I’d listen to an argument for him to stay, but there is absolutely no excuse or reason for us to be in 16th position.

Look at Newcastle, absolutely riddled with injuries last season but still managed to finish 7th.

Would anyone take Vitor Perreira at Wolves? Theyve won 5 of last 6. Has plenty of experience in Portugal, Brazil and Greece.

Also plays 343 which probably suits our squad best. Weve got Spence, Porro and Udogie that would all benefit from that system. So would Bergvall, Gray, Sarr and Bentancur
5 in a row is no joke. They seem to be back on the right path, which is bad for us as I can see them easily getting back into midtable this next season. League is going to be extremely competitive next season.

Still want Ange to leave — but maybe it's not the worst thing to show the players they can't just down tools and expect the manager to get sacked. Too often we've seen them give up and wait for Levy to act. If there's one small positive in all this, it's that.
I'm not sure that is the case this time. Most often you hear the players continue to speak well of him. Of course, that's not necessarily a true indicator as players usually say good things about managers or nothing at all. The young guys seem to have bought into the system and the manager. Maybe the reason it seems they aren't trying is they never have really adapted to Postecoglou's system. Between being short handed and things breaking down on defense they often look confused or tired or both. I don't think they've downed tools, maybe its just the system doesn't work well in the Premier League.

Maybe. But every season throws a few curve balls! Maybe Liverpool made a big mistake renewing Salah and VdV and suffer a big drop off, Chelsea likely misfire again, arteta loses faith of players after another trophyless season etc I’m confident we won’t be as bad as this season?

Would I be shocked if he was given another season if he brings in a trophy, No I wouldnt. Levy might actually be backing him.
He's already been backed to the tune of 300 mil. All that to finish 14-17th in the PL. But yeah he's reached the semis of the weakest EL edition for years, so let's give him another 200 bags and surely next season we're winning it all, yeah?

Just the small matter that Levy's already made it clear our summer will be a pauper's one, so even if we got a proper manager in, he'll be hamstrung next season. Rinse & repeat.

Well Levy got rid of our top scorer and captain, simply by having no ambition for the football aspects of the club.

Kane wasn't the captain but I get your point 😉

Anyway I've always said that Levy selling Kane that Summer wasn't his biggest sin, it was either that or him leaving onna free the following Summer.

His biggest sin was his failure in building a team around him, biggest fumble ever considering how hard it is to find World Class Premier League strikers especially from our own academy.
