The league doesn't mean anything for us but Palace are in a similar position with nothing to play for in the league and a cup final coming up but they're still capable of playing football that isn't completely dreadful.

I understand what your saying. I just dont understand why excuses are made for us getting there.
Most teams fans would find excuses for their team getting knocked out. Not us, we make it to the final and then make excuses for it.....it's a second rate comp, we played shit teams, Frankfurt lost their best player, if the CL clubs had dropped into it we wouldn't have made it etc.

We beat whoever was put in front of us during the knockout round and now we're one game away from our first trophy in 17 years.....that's the story.
 
So basically, he is telling our bench: "go ahead and play in a match that I don't care about, win or lose, do whatever you want out there".

What mind set you are creating in the minds of reserves and youngsters when you allow them to play when you don't care and they go out there with no accountability or intention to win??????

Let me not start about the starters even...

Strange as it was pretty straight forward what he was saying.

I desperately want some silverware, but I’m not stupid enough not to realise that we’re in the final because we haven’t played teams that are of a PL equivalent level.

It’s not a coincidence that both teams that are the final are sat near the bottom of their league table.

I think you’d have to be a moron to think otherwise.
 
Considering everything, what manager doesn't just set up to mid-block and play a practical game today, keep possession and pick moments to strike.

Instead it's lambs to the slaughter yet again.

I have nothing but the greatest sympathy for what the players have been put through this season.
