Because winning creates expensive expectations

We’ve never been meant to win under Levy and ENIC. Plucky underdogs in the league who slightly outperform wages but pay the highest ticket prices in the league.

That’s Levy’s model and guys like Frank, Silva, Iraola they deliver that for him.
Yeah that's Levy's model, but why do fans want to trade a guy who has just won our biggest piece of silverware in forty years for some geezer whose best achievement is piloting a Fulham or a Bournemouth to fucking 8th or 9th or whatever...

It doesn't make any sense at all

Irrelevant to this group of players.

They know he’s got experience in the CL and they trust him bc they just won a European trophy with him.

Frank will end up being the interim sacrificial lamb that the squad burns through before they try and get Poch back next year

We should hire Mendilibar, Glasner, Lopetegui or Sarri mate. All of those have won the Europa League recently so I'm sure the players will respect them.

Maybe hire Moyes? Recent history of winning a European trophy AND finished ahead of Ange in the league despite managing Everton. Win win ... our football recently is similar to his style anyway.

I really like Frank, especially having watched his interview with Lineker. He comes across as both a nice person and educated. Discussing how important team spirit is and making sure the whole squad feels part of a family. He assesses the opposition and adjusts his playing style to what he believes gives his side the best chance of success both prior and in-game.

For me Frank is both a very promising, experienced and under valued coach. Yes he’s not a flash name but he’s made Brentford very competitive and kept them in a decent position despite the loss of Toney.
Lost Watkins Raya, Benrahma, Konsa as well.

Certain concerns, i mean Brentford have been well run for years and Dean Smith and Mark Warburton got big moves off the back of their work at Brentford. Frank has no real track record elsewhere, a lot of youth football and a couple of years at Brondby but he is clearly very smart, can adapt and knows the league inside out. Again would be 5 or 6 down on my list but its interesting. Just hope if it is him people give him a chance.

From where I was standing, last Sunday before the Brighton game, in the East Stand bar with the cabaret, people are happy to just get pissed and celebrate winning a trophy.

Disregarding the injuries and 22 league defeats makes no sense to me and has tainted the overdue success the Spurs supporters clearly crave and deserve.

Ange has been a disaster.

An absolute disaster.

He needs to go.

Forget Silva (not happening).

With the squad we have, Frank or Iraola (who I suspect it's between) would have blown through our EL fixtures, comfortably - with the run we had - and also won the final against a shit manure who didn't even turn up.

And also finished deep into the top half of the table (imo).

Not 17th on 38 points, dragging us through hell.

With us now facing a likely even more challenging Prem and elite teams in the CL.

Extrapolation isn't that hard here.

This is a concern for me. He is very reliant on getting a strong start here (if he's appointed), the slighest bad result and a lot of fans will come up with "why did we sack the manager that got us our first trophy in 17 years for this?!" or stuff like that. Especially considering he isn't a big name or a particularly popular choice.

Frank is rookie. Don’t matter what you think about his tactics.

He’d go into a team meeting talking about how we are going to play in the CL and every single player in that squad will be looking at him running he’s got no clue what’s coming… that’s how they will think a they are right.
What do you think this squad is capable of in the CL at absolute best possible outcome? Maybe quarter finals? There's no fucking way you're deluded enough to think we have a shot of winning it, not with our record against actual good teams the last 2 seasons. So what disaster is it if we don't do much in the CL in Frank's first season as he builds towards assembling a consistent, tactically flexible and wily team with functioning attack AND defence?

So the rumour mill is in overdrive we’re about to sack our current manager who in his managerial career has had a reasonable amount of success albeit in lower standard leagues which was no fault of his you play what’s in front of you ……and provided us (Tottenham) with our most successful season in 17years by winning a European title and replace him with which is rumoured to be a even less successful coach/manager who’s won feck all at any level and has a win percentage of 41% in the same league as the guy they’re about sack………
