So the rumour mill is in overdrive we’re about to sack our current manager who in his managerial career has had a reasonable amount of success albeit in lower standard leagues which was no fault of his you play what’s in front of you ……and provided us (Tottenham) with our most successful season in 17years by winning a European title and replace him with which is rumoured to be a even less successful coach/manager who’s won feck all at any level
It's also our lowest league finish in 48 years.

What do you think this squad is capable of in the CL at absolute best possible outcome? Maybe quarter finals? There's no fucking way you're deluded enough to think we have a shot of winning it, not with our record against actual good teams the last 2 seasons. So what disaster is it if we don't do much in the CL in Frank's first season as he builds towards assembling a consistent, tactically flexible and wily team with functioning attack AND defence?

That’s your rationale for appointing Frank?

We can’t win the CL so it doesn’t matter if we got a coach who the players won’t believe in.

We won’t win the PL either so I guess your rationale is that’s why it’s ok to hire a manager whose best ever finish is mid table?

The ambition is pouring out of every word in your post

"I really like Frank, especially having watched his interview with Lineker. He comes across as both a nice person and educated. Discussing how important team spirit is and making sure the whole squad feels part of a family. He assesses the opposition and adjusts his playing style to what he believes gives his side the best chance of success both prior and in-game.

For me Frank is both a very promising, experienced and under valued coach. Yes he’s not a flash name but he’s made Brentford very competitive and kept them in a decent position despite the loss of Toney"
This could almost literally be Daniel Levy's actual official transcript following the appointment

The morons that run this club would somehow still try to sell that as ambition.

What makes me chuckle is all these spurs accounts on twitter wanted ange gone even if we won the EL and here we are now and they're all doing a 180 and saying levy out because hes sacking a manager who won a trophy. They have all bought the line ange used on how he sacrificed all the league games to win the cup.

lol Thomas Frank 😂. So despite all this “big club” noise since 21 May, they are considering Thomas Frank. I could not be more contemptuous of ENIC if they determined that he is an answer to our current problems.

This geezer has won. FUCK ALL at a senior level as a coach or a player.

Yeah, Frank is not an inspiring choice, but not sure who's an actual option for us.

Gut feeling hes gone. Would have been classless by club sacking him straight after europa league win then just before Ange goes on holiday. I reckon hes gone by next week. That everton away game earlier in season clinched it for me. That was worse than pub football. Hearing a lot of noise about Frank. He will make us hard to beat, dubious about his style though. Poch and tuchel will be waiting next year. Tbh i couldnt give a shit if romero leaves if Ange is sacked. Im a lifetime supporter. Players come and go.
