Frank has never managed a team competing in europa or champions league. Has never managed a high performing team, and has no experience of being a winner. He plays long ball football, which is onlt really good enough to get you on the cusp of top half.

What makes you think he would succeed at Spurs ???

He doesn't, he's a pragmatist. Go watch their football in the championship.

Frank changes based on his team. Try and play pretty football with Brentford's resources and their players and you will go down very quickly - they have athletes and target men.

No manager in the world could win the title with Spurs tbh

Not unless we suddenly had Qatari owners

I think this is the problem with hiring someone like Frank, it's the realisation that these owners are never going to be serious and would prefer a manager to get blood out of a stone and work with the very limited tools given.

If you have a manager like Ange then he requires serious backing from the board, they've never going to do that so hiring Frank is more a comedown and back to reality of what their intentions are, no that anyone should have expected any different because we know how we operate but it has kinda dampened the hope that ENIC may be pulling their fingers out,

Meh

Agree. Quite surprised at the backlash

He doesn't play long ball, that's absolute BS
We all know who's started to play that way now🙄

Tbh if board sack him I think they have been smart letting the europa league hysteria settle down. Ange lost every game to gooners and chelsea btw. Shouting and arguing with fans. He will get a nice payout.
He drew his first NLD 2-2 but lost the other three. He lost all 4 games against Chelsea.

I agree that 1 point out of a possible 24 isn't anywhere near good enough. One of the things I wanted from Ange next season was better results against Woolwich and Chelsea. Maybe Frank will do better.

No idea yet. Aggregators probably cutting up and misquoting. It's that time again!

"Dressing room backlash"??

What they gonna do, go on strike?!

Or what is it...oh noes, it might affect them too much and they could start losing games?

Stop with the bullshit and get this clown gone.

Players have had it too easy doing what they want on the pitch with zero discipline.

It's not some sort of playground here to lose games for fun.

They are paid to train and play when selected.

They are not a Union to make demands on the executive or they down tools.

Fuck is even going on here.

Yeah, I don't believe that. They're in constant communication and I can't imagine that it wasn't clearly understood at some point that we weren't trying to prioritize the EL. I don't believe it was January like they said, but at some point it's the only thing that makes sense why they allowed that ridiculous league form to continue for so long.

I can think of 22 times at least where their undying love for him meant fuck all

My rationale is simple.

This is the guy that got the monkey off our back and won us a trophy, he’s earned his shot. The pressure for him to play strong teams in the cups isn’t as high. He got 5th in his first season, with the squad behind him, there’s every chance he gets them back to that kind of form. Especially now the medical department and support staff around him is stabilized now.

The players love him and believe him when he says “do this and you’ll win” because he’s proved it to them. I don’t want to lose guys like Romero and watch this club go cheap and shitter with his replacement. We’ve always needed winners at this club. Let’s keep the one we have now.

He’s very fucking handy when it comes to selling the club for recruitment. It was his phone call that sold this club to Van de Ven…. Imagine we are going after an Eze or Xavi Simons. Several times Ange calls persuaded players to come here instead of Frank and Brentford. Bergvall would probably be a Brentford player if we had Frank and they had Ange.
I'm sorry, we owe the guy absolutely nothing. Worst league finish in 48 years, 1 point per game across an entire season, one cup is not going to erase the memory of that performance. Everything you talk about are the intangibles, you've watched the football yourself, can you honestly say we are improving and playing better now at full strength than we were in September 2023? That's fucking terrifying. What's going to change next season? What is going to click? You talk of a stabilised medical team, we limped through the end of the season sustaining injuries right to the end? We had no midfield to speak of in the final?
Did you know Romero has never in 4 seasons played more than 34 games (in one season) for us? He was signed by Paratici, he is coming back, don't you have faith that we could find an equal or better replacement, given he found Romero in the first place? I don't know why you're romantically tied to a player who is on average unavailable for around 1/3rd of our games with a sample size of four seasons. Romero is a good defender but prone to massive lapses in concentration and probably up there with errors leading to goals this season.
I don't believe Ange's treble winning antics with Celtic were any kind of pull for players like Bergvall or Van De Ven, sorry, we were probably just offering more money.

We finished 17th ffs. I dont like the idea with a billion pound stadium us being relegated under Ange. 22 league defeats ffs. Got to a point last season i knew we would lose even before a ball was kicked. Cant have that. Can watch non league football instead. But id rather not thanks.
