I'm for replacing Ange if we get a dramatically better manager that's going to move the dial. Not sure a midtable Premier League manager is going to do that. As you said, it screams we want the solid Premier League finishes over actual trophies.
You’ve nailed it ….mid table premier league manager…..that’s what he is he’ll no get anywhere near winning diddly squat, Levy had shat the bed when we dropped like a stone after Xmas + the fans getting toxic and him being in the firing line hadn’t pleased him. So he’ll hire steady Eddie no more heart attacks for Danny boy just a consistent league campaign and you never know we might make the Europa or conference next season👍so all you that enjoyed Bilbao savour it ……

What was Pochettino, albeit much younger at the time he took over?

Baseless argument.

Howe was sacked by a relegated Bournemouth. He ain't done bad at Newcastle.

What point are you trying to make?

Fabrizio Romano saying on Youtube that the decision on the manager will be made in the coming hours.. Considering our options.

Once you've let the story get to that state without immiediately briefing to the press that he's your man.. You've undermined the manager.. It's over.

Part of this process is asking the question, what would Frank do differently at Tottenham than what he's done at Brentford?

Asking is a good way to find out for sure, but personally I want a manager with a CV of getting teams over the line.

Conte and Jose did but their football was not what the fans wanted and didnt suit the players.

Looking at our side, it doesn't look like a Frank side IMHO and stabilising Brentford in the prem is not a good enough CV for me. I've watched Anges team rip his to shreds...
. Let that sink in.

So we need, in my opinion, a manager who is going to suit the players and has a winning pedigree. Anything else and we are 100% going to be back here having g this convo next summer.

He’ll leave til Tuesday so everyone gets caught up in is new kit release then sneak in the manager situation later on……

That trophy and CL qualification as a result on top changes literally everything for this club if they want it to.

Sacking Ange and bringing Frank just proves that they don’t want it to change

Er... it quite literally does. Sacking our worst ever Premier league manager is a pretty big indicator that you want things to improve for the better.

Win another trophy to go with it who cares?

We aren’t winning the PL with Levy around anyway

Whereas we're now dead certs to win the Champions league?

Winning the EL is a great achievement but the league form and quality of performance was unforgiveable, but for 3 substandard promoted teams, we could easily have faced relegation, let's not forget we lost at home to 2 of these teams.

If we retain Ange I think it's a failure of duty of care, we got 1 point from our last 6 prem games, it's like leaving a wolf to manage a chicken coop.

Part one is deciding to let Ange go, and I'm pro that, as for who comes in next, in terms of part two, I'd hope Paratici would oversee that and whoever does come in gets our playing system working more effectively, I'm sick of us seeing us give away so many cheap avoidable goals.

Top 8 and the Europa, without having taken 10 points from

Exactly.

The project is complete.

Now, we need to move to Phase 2, with someone who Cs start to build PL competence.

It's not even complex.

I couldn’t give a fuck what Ange says, he’s an egotistical bloke. If you believed what every manager said then we may as well re-hire Jose and be done with it. Ange just wants to save his own job.

Lots of clubs have Europe and do well. We’re not talking CL here.

Ange hasn’t earned shit. He’s massively underachieved here and only did well in a single cup competition because the draw was insanely kind to him. He then threw everything at it because he’s not competent enough to compete on numerous fronts or do well in competitions where you play high level teams.

Take the cup and run. We will continue to go backwards under him.

I care what Ange says as long as he keeps proving most people wrong in the trophy department.

Sir Alex was an egotistical bloke in his pomp. Prime Mourinho was egotistical. I disagree with half of the shit Ange comes out with, especially to the media or the fans, but he proved me and others wrong two seasons in a row with some of his own self-image and the self-image he is creating for the club.

I believed Jose earned his League Cup final and Poch earned his chance of finishing one season in the bottom half, whilst still in the Champions League knockout stages with poor recruitment. Both managers were sacked at incorrect times mid-season in my opinion, even if both played shite football in the league and the league form deteriorated that season.

And no actually. Not a lot of teams with the 6th and 7th best wage budget in the Premier League who sell their best strikers do well in any form of Europe and the Premier League at the same time.

I expected Ange to finish 8th-14th in his first season. He was first after ten games and finished 5th. I expected him to finish CL or a trophy in his second season. He did both. So if I expect him to finish 5th and get an FA Cup next season, he may well get relegated and win the Champions League and I would not give a fuck...

You just know they will do exactly what you just described

It’s what they’ve always done. That’s the scam they are running to a tee
