To be fair, I dont think we played any of those games against your strongest back 4. I mean in general, and I mean no disrespect, but Romero and Van De Ven are the only two defensively world class players you have (even though I really like Porro, its more what he does with the ball that I think makes him good). With even one of them missing, its a fragile backline. And I just checked, neither of those 2 played any of those 4 games. Danso looks decent, but not nearly the same as those 2. Again, I think it's a recruitment problem when the gap in quality between the best XI and the rest of the squad is so wide. In general, apart from Romero, there are no leaders in that team. If he's not playing, who's organising??

Again, I am not looking argue with supporters of the club on their forum, just think the decision was really strange. The squad has clearly over achieved in my opinion, given the circumstances (not talking about the league position, that's pretty awful but in context, makes sense to some extent, but the general post season situation - CL Football, a European Trophy, and another domestic cup semi final at the end of a 60 game season, for context, no english club played more games this season. Woolwich's second with 58 games, and their post season situation is worse in my eyes)
Oh it's definitely a recruitment issue as well. We have Levy in charge and that will only ever get us so far. The disconnect between the glitzy stadium and facilities and what us the fans are frequently offered up to watch is immense.

The EL cup is wonderful after all these years - one of the greatest moments I've seen - but it's still a band aid on a club that has needed a bandage for some time.

Stupid decision. The following all want to leave this summer as a result:

Romero
Porro
Van Der Ven
Bergvall
Udogie
Maddison
Moore
Gray
Sarr
You are dangerously detached from reality.

You're not alone, tho.

Your deluded brethren in here offer close comfort and company.

I think we need to set up some sort of therapy service for you all.

Or you could all just gtfo and go follow your fat teddy bear uncle out the door.

Imagine sacking our most successful manager in the premier league era to install Thomas Frank.

The Ange out brigade can live with this shit. Fucken Reform voting English morons. You cunts love a bit o self harm
I didn't vote reform or leave.
Are you suggesting we don't like this useless coach who has averaged 1.1ppg since his honeymoon ended because he's not English?

Fuck sake.

I'm not surprised. Good luck to him and I'll miss the genius of his pressers. However, we cannot be flirting with relegation (I know we were pretty clear at the end of the season but all it would've taken is one of the 3 below us to out a run together and we'd have been FUBAR).

All I'm thinking about now is imagining this group of players (plus or minus any outgoing or incoming players) working in a more cohesive system alongside some quality coaching and a willingness to adapt the approach to specific games. Also, let's be honest, aside from the first 9 games of his reign and some excellent random performances against teams like man city, it's mostly been disheartening.

Will always have a place in my heart for the trophy win but realistically he was never gonna stay...esp after the Ten Hag debacle at united.

After all, it's who we are mate!
