He didn’t lose the final though, did he? He said he’d win this season and backed it up. You know what history remembers? Trophies and actual achievements, not random 4th or 6th or 8th or 17th league finishes.

Winning matters. European trophies have meaning. If Frank or whoever is next can do the same, he’ll go down in history like Postecoglou. If not, he’ll be another Poch. Loved by the mini-Levy’s in this thread, but ultimately unsuccessful.

And you don't see a difference between beating crap and regularly beating big teams?

I get it, monkey off back and shutting people up, but I will ask yet again and hope a fat Carl zombie can give me an answer. Want competition are we willing to throw the league for next season? And what if the promoted teams aren't as shit?

Fat Carl said he was changing the mentality, he successfully brought in a small team mentality to our fans

No-one knows that for sure re the EL, and finishing 10th and winning nothing wouldn't have had me and thousands of Spurs supporters singing in the streets of North London. As I said, only time will tell if this is a good move or not.
I'm probably repeating myself here, so apologies in advance.

We could have had a reasonable league campaign and still challenged for the Europa League - it was never 'either or' and honestly we are a better squad than this narrative that if we finished 7th we couldn't possibly win the EL.

I hope this doesn't sound too deluded or entitled but we genuinely deserve better than that.

Sorry I still don't feel good about this. Time will tell I suppose if this is a good thing, but I have a horrible feeling we'll be in this same spot in 18 months time, with no silverware to show for it.

We'll be okay but it's absolutely valid to not feel great about this. It's probably the right decision but been handled awfully by the club. Should have got with Postecoglou before the final and made a plan for an amicable exit. This has played out in the worst possible way. Divisive and confusing when it should have been regeneration and positivity going ahead.

Can you see this squad taking to Frank... he has no credibility in world football. It's like Mr Bean walking into the dressing room.
That's harsh... He's got 3 different forwards to hit 20 goal seasons in the premier league in the last 3 years , 2 of them got promoted with him.

I actually can't think of another manager who has done that off the top of my head.

I hear you, but Trust me - going to be in far better shape for the prem and CL.

And better shape to win another cup next season.

Ange only corrected course to allow the players to win this one after player intervention, to be just a bit more more practical and not play nonsense football.

Our league form and final position is not a lie and should be taken very, very seriously, as it's a key indicator of so many things.

I am absolutely thrilled the board saw it that way too.

yeah - good one
even a broken watch is right twice a day.

Spurs just get back on the same roundabout
the same donkeys will be screaming for the next manager to get dumped the minute it all turns pearshaped

A fiver says there's thread about sacking his replacement by christmas

Look at every successful club, what did they have - continuity of management.

We've had 15 different people in charge in the last 25 years - and one of them was in for 20% of it.
No point telling you though

You know everything

and nothing
I think we agree. Levy needs out. Been singing that for a while. But Ange was definitely not the Messiah. He won't win anything. He won't even get you close. My theory, he only won the Europa because players decided to do their own thing.

I didn't want Poch, Jose, or Conté out. I was nailed for liking "Anti Football". In Ange's case, it didn't go "Pearshaped" cause there never was any fruit. 22 losses and you still want him in?
